15) Heart beats

Sophia POV

When Gal arrived at my house she followed behind me. When I look at her face she looks so tired and angry.

"Are you okay?" She asked and I nodded my head and headed to the kitchen to grab something to eat. "Have you seen dad?" I asked "He's busy in his office at work...again" I heard her sigh

"I'll make dinner go get some rest" She said

"Are you kidding? You get some rest you just fought 4 men" I said and she chuckled "That was nothing" She said "At least let me help you cook" I said "Fine" She said

"Can you grab some garlic salt" she said and I nodded. I went to the seasonings cabinet which is all the way up there. I stand on my tippy toes to grab it but a hand got it for me. I look to my right and saw Gal looking down at me

Our height difference though

"Can you do anything by yourself for once?" She said. I look down at her lips and saw there was a cut with dried blood. "That must hurt" I whispered and gently touched it and she flinched. I went to grab an ointment

Gal was standing by the stove and I went up to her. She turned around and I put a bit of ointment on my finger and gently place them on her lips

Once I was done she was looking down at me and I stare at her back

I can feel my heart beating so fast

The front door opened and I pushed her away from me which caused her to groan and hold onto her chest.

"I'm sorry I forgot you're injured" I helped her

"Hey ladies" Dad said and kissed Gal which made me uncomfortable "What happened to your lip?" Dad asked Gal "Uh I bit it too hard while I was eating" She said

"What you girls making" He asked "Pasta" I responded and cut up some veggies "Well it smells amazing" He went to his bedroom assuming he's going to change to some comfortable clothes

Dinner was ready and we ate in silence most of the time. We talk a bit about their upcoming wedding but I wasn't really interested in that conversation.

Dinner was over and I was in charge of the dishes again. I washed the dishes and felt weird. I noticed every time I'm with Gal I feel complete and safe. Like I want her to be next to me all the time but I don't know. It's wrong to think like that

I felt Gal touching my shoulder and I turned my head

"Everything okay? You've been washing that plate for like 10 minutes now" She said and I nodded "Yeah it's just I feel weird" I mumbled

"How so?"

"It's just whenever I see this person I feel happy and I want to stay with them" I said and Gal laughed "That means you have a crush on someone" She said "A crush?" I said "You probably have those before right?" She said and I shake my head

"Well have you dated someone before?" She asked me and I shake my head "Kissed someone?" She asked and I shake my head

"Who's this person you like?" She asked "Cant tell you" I said "Is it Taylor?" She said and I smiled "No I see her as a friend" I said "Samuel?" She said and I gagged

"How bout you? Did you felt like this when your with my dad?" I asked and she sighs "At first, but now I don't feel it anymore" She said "Why?" I asked and she shrugged "I don't know" She looked at me and helped with the dishes

"Why are you washing the cup like that?" She laughed "Like what?" I said and she chuckled. She went behind me and guided me. Her arms around my waist while her neck was next to me

I feel tensed and I can feel her smiling down at me

"Oh okay" I said

We finished up the dishes and Gal was leaving

Dad gave her a kiss while I waved at her

I went upstairs and did my night routine before I went to my bed.

I stare at my hand and smiled

I was still shaking on what just happened. Gal was currently driving us home after saving me from those men. I was still scared and my hand was shaking.

I thought back how those men came near me and how they touched my hair made me feel so uncomfortable and scared

I clenched my hand and was still shaking

I felt a warm hand on top of my hands and I saw it was Gals hand. She moved her thumb and it calmed me down

My heart was beating fast and we felt sparks

I look over her and she was driving and had her eyes on the road

I look at her hand and smiled

I smiled and thought back what just happened in the car
