When I got back to the meadow it was already dark. The sun had gone down about an hour or two before hand. As I was walking through the meadow I saw Sunny running up to me. He was meowing louder as he got closer to me. He started rubbing against my legs and I picked him up. "Hey Sunny. I missed you too." I said as I sniffled a little bit. He rubbed his face against my chin and purred loudly. I carried him through the rest of the meadow and into the cabin. I looked around at everything that showed up from the stand. I sighed and sat Sunny down on the ground. I started putting everything away before lighting an incense stick and cleansing the cabin. I would start tearing up every now and then remembering about mine and Varian's fight. Sunny would always be not far behind me to run against me as reassurance that he's still with me.

Once I was finished, I placed the rest of the incense on the incense tray and watched it curl. I laid down on my bed and let out a sigh. My eyes hurt from crying and my head was pounding. Sunny jumped up on my stomach and started kneading on me. I eventually fell asleep with my hand carefully draped over him.

I woke up to a ton of knocking and scratching at my door. I opened my eyes and saw Sunny scratching at the door. The hair on his back was all puffed up along with his tail. The knocking just continued. "I'm coming." I said softly as I rubbed my eyes before opening the door. I watched as Sunny ran under my legs in front of me in a protective stance. I looked up and saw familiar sapphire eyes, but they were red and puffy. He was also carrying a bag. "Varian? What are you doing here? And are you okay? Your eyes are all red and puffy." I said softly. 'I know we just had a huge fight...but...if he needs me I'll still be here for him. He was probably just stressed.' "C-can we talk?" He said rubbing the back of his neck. I nodded before opening the door wider. When Varian tried to step inside Sunny jumped in front of him and hissed.

"Sunny stop it. He's allowed to come inside." After a few seconds of watching Sunny stare Varian down, he walked back inside his back and tail still puffed up. Varian put his bag on the floor. We both sat down at the table and there was an awkward silence. "What did you wanna talk about?" I asked softly. I watched him take a deep breath and rub the back of his neck. "(Y/n) I'm so so so sorry about everything I said yesterday. I didn't mean it. I was just frustrated and upset, and I took it out on you." I watched as he took a second before looking up at me. "You were right all along too. He was, in your words, a phony scientist. And I know what I said about witches was completely uncalled for. I didn't mean it. I'm so sorry (y/n), is there any way you can forgive me?" He was looking up at me with these sad soft blue eyes and I felt myself melt. I smiled softly at him. "Sapphires it's okay. You were under a lot of stress and me telling you that the judge was a fool put you over the edge."

I saw his shoulders relax as he put his head in his hands on the table. "Again I'm sorry." I sighed. "I'm sorry too. I honestly had no idea that I was bringing your whole mood down about the entire project. I didn't mean to at all." I said looking down at the table and biting my lip. "I just thought that you were getting tired of me." Varian said with a sad laugh. "We both know I'll never get tired of you. You're too much fun to get tired of." There was another silence, but it was starting to get more comfortable. "Can I ask you something?" He said looking up at me. I nodded. "D-did you mean what you said? You know...about you liking me?" I felt my cheeks start burning. I looked down and bit my lip before answering. "I-I did, but I never said anything because I really love being friends with you! A-and I didn't w-want to ruin anything!" I rushed out as I ran a hand through my hair as a way to try and calm myself down. "Can I tell you something?" I looked up at him. "Yeah. What is it?"

He took another deep breath. "I really like you too. I've liked you since we first started hanging out. I just didn't think you liked me back at all. That's why when I met Cass, I sort of threw myself into her. It's not that I didn't want to get over you, but...I didn't think you'd ever like me like that. So I thought, why not dull down the blow." He said looking at me. I felt my cheeks burn as I started at him. "Wait...you like me back?" I asked and he nodded. "Hey sapphires?" "Yeah?" I bit my lip softly before speaking up. "Was the festival supposed to be a date?" I saw pink dust his cheeks. "Yeah it was." I nodded.

"So...what now?" I asked. He smiled softly at me before grabbing his bag. "I think I promised a certain gifted woman who's obsessed with crystals, that I'd help her make a new wand." I giggled softly. "Is that what you're going to call me instead of witch?" He laughed. "I thought it would be better suited for Milady."

We quickly set up a small work area in my cabin. I sat on Varian's left side as I watched him draw a rough sketch of my wand. "So milady, what are we doing to make this the most powerful wand in all the seven kingdoms?" I giggled before pulling out my wand and handing it to him. I grabbed the ball as well handing it to him. "I want this." I said pointing at the ball. "In that." I said pointing at the wand. "Okay sounds simple enough." He said grabbing some of the tools he brought with him and pulled down his goggles getting to work. I watched as he carefully started cutting a bigger hole in the center of the wand. "How long did you tell your dad you'd be here for?" I asked. "Oh I told him that I probably wouldn't be back until tomorrow. I hope that's okay! I didn't mean to intrude at all! I just wanted to make up for what happened." He said looking down. I gave him a side hug. "Sapphires you know you're always welcome here! You could even tell me you're spending the week here and I wouldn't mind." I said smiling. Suddenly I felt a pair of soft lips on my cheek. "Why thank you milady. I'll be sure to keep that in mind." I watched as he went back to work. My cheeks were red and I bit my lip smiling softly.

After about an hour he was finished. "Your mighty wand milady." He said getting up from the table and kneeling down presenting the wand to me. I couldn't help but laugh at the gesture. I took the wand from his hands. "Thank you so much sapphires! I really appreciate this. It looks amazing!" I said staring at his work trying to memorize every new detail. I opened the ball in the middle of the want and put in a couple small crystal shards before closing it.

"Varian I really can't thank you enough!" I said hugging him. He was still kneeling when I hugged him and we both fell backwards. We were both laughing before we pulled away to see the position we were in. I blushed and carefully got up. I helped Varian up and I looked at the ground biting my lip softly. "Did you know that you bite your lip when you're nervous or embarrassed?" Varian said to me. I looked up at him. "I know that how do you know that?" I asked poking his chest. He only laughed and held my hand and pulling me into him. He put one arm around my waist while the other was still holding my hand. "Oh please milady. We're around each other constantly! I'm bound to notice something as simple as that." He said smiling down at me. I smiled back up at him.

Suddenly we were staring into each other's eyes. Our heads were slowly moving closer together and our foreheads touched. I suddenly felt something push the middle of my back. This caused me to be pushed into Varian and our lips connected. I quickly pulled away a deep red covering every inch of my cheeks. "I-I'm sorry! I d-didn't mean t-to do that! I was p-pushed an-" I was cut off by lips on mine. The kiss was full of all kinds of different emotions. I felt Varian's arms pull me closer before we pulled away. "Should I really believe as something so illogical as some unknown force pushing you?" He asked with a soft smirk on his lips. I couldn't help but roll my eyes with a smile.

"So this means we're dating right milady?" He asked. I pretended to think for a second. "Hmmm...let me see...of course sapphires!" I said as I hugged him. He hugged me back and spun me around causing us both to laugh. 'Maybe we needed to have that fight.'
