The next day Jungkook began his training. He wasn't the fondest of exercise, but he knew he needed to train in case something bad was to happen.

Taehyung and Jungkook walked to the place in the palace where all the training for guards took place. It was a huge hall, which was right at the back of the palace. There was many windows and a huge door which took them out to a field, where they were able to practice outside. Waiting for them inside were a few rookies which had been employed for better guarding of the palace. When they saw the two prince's walk in, the were quick to bow towards them.

"Today we will be training self defense. Rookies I want you to partner up with the seniors. The seniors will teach you everything you need to know. To defend yourself, you need to be alert and have self confidence. If you have the confidence you will be able to do your best when defending and gain the strength to attack. Defending is the most important part, anyone could easily throw a punch, but the key is to have great defense so then you can attack when they don't know" Taehyung said with a serious tone, nearly making Jungkook fall weak to the knees.
"Today is only your first day, and you're silly if you think you're going to master defense within one practice. So just try your best and don't give up. Today is the hardest as you'll be getting hit a lot" Taehyung lowly chuckled after the last remark.

The first day of training is never easy. Once they are taught the moved to defend the seniors have to throw punches at the rookies. This will help with the skill. Most rookies walk out the door with over 10 bruises and because of that some end up quitting. But the ones who don't quite are the ones the royals want as protection.

Taehyung pulled Jungkook to a free space. Taehyung first told Jungkook to get into a stance.
"Okay baby, so bring your left leg out, where it's comfortable and bend both your knees slightly. This will keep your feet grounded, and makes it harder for them to push you straight onto the floor" Taehyung instructed to the boy, it was serious but much softer to when he spoke to the rookies.

Jungkook did as he was told and got into his stance.
"Now because you're smaller than most people, when you hold your guard up keep your left hand higher than your right" Taehyung helped the boy bring his guard up, making sure his elbows were bent and his hands were in fists, with his thumbs resting over his fingers.
"Never hold your thumb when making a fist, always keep it over the fingers, it will stop your thumb from breaking"

Taehyung stood behind Jungkook and made them turn to face the huge mirror wall. They looked at each other in the mirror and smiled softly. Taehyung got in a stance right behind the boy so their legs were brushing. Taehyung held onto Jungkook's wrists with a soft grip which made Jungkook blush softly. Tae chuckled and was quick to kiss Jungkook's cheek softly.
"You're distracting me" Taehyung pouted.
Jungkook looked at Taehyung with a raised eyebrow.
"How am I distracting you?" Jungkook gasped.
"Because you're being too cute, and I'm trying to teach you how to defend"
"Well it's not my fault you find me cute" Jungkook pretended to flick long hair which he didn't have.

Taehyung's eyes widened at the boys sassiness, and decided to tickle the younger as punishment. Jungkook screamed of laughter and nearly fell to the floor. Everyone in the room stopped and looked at the couple. They began laughing seeing how much the two were laughing. Jungkook quickly got out of Tae's hold and ran towards one of the seniors, Bogum.
"Bogumie save me, he's a monster" Jungkook giggled and screamed as he ran behind the boy.
"Koo come here" Taehyung tried to be serious but he burst out laughing again when he watched the boy run away from behind Bogum and run around the hall.

The rookies watched them with wide eyes, surprised to see the future king so playful. They always saw the prince as powerful, and stern. They knew he wasn't cold, he was just living up to his title. But this, this was much different, they saw him as his age and as a normal young adult.

Taehyung finally caught Jungkook and wrapped his arms around his waist from behind. He dragged him towards his chest and quickly lifted him up off the floor. Jungkook was still giggling as the thrashed around in the elders hold. He walked them back to their place and Taehyung placed the boy back on the floor. He quickly spun the omega around and looked at the boy. Jungkook's eyes were full of innocence and his huge grin was just as innocent. Taehyung chuckled softly and pressed his lips onto Jungkook's, capturing them in a sweet kiss.

When they pulled away Taehyung cupped the boys cheeks.
"I love you Kim Jungkook" Taehyung whispered.
"I love you too Kim Taehyung, and now teach me how to block some butts" Jungkook said with determination.
"Okay baby" Taehyung snorted before turning him around to face himself in the mirror.

Taehyung taught him the basic moves he could do if someone was was grab his by the wrists or is someone was to throw a punch at him. Taehyung was impressed, he didn't realise how well his wifey could defend and then counter attack. Jungkook stayed determined the whole way, which Tae was also really impressed by. By the end of their first session Jungkook was already able to block punches which Tae carefully threw at him. Of course he didn't do them hard in case Jungkook did miss, but he didn't. All Jungkook needed now was the confidence to stand up for himself and know that he has the ability to escape if he needs to.
