Mikasa X Eren: An Unknown Love

Mikasa POV

I walked into school excited and pumped up for the school festival. As I entered the school loads of food stands were outside. Once I do the band performance, I need to come and get some food. We all met in the practise room then went over the song several times. ‘I think we’re good to go.’ Jean said then came up beside me with a grin across his face.

Eren budged in between us then pushed me far away from Jean, ‘I think it’s time to go.’ I opened the door then everyone else followed me. After we do this, won’t get to spend as much time with Eren. I know I have lunch with him and sit next to him, but when we were doing this I felt like we were getting much closer. Either way, tonight I’ll tell him how I feel. I just hope he accepts my feelings.

When we were backstage we were told we were going to be performing next. I was so nervous. Sasha came up to me then slapped her hand on my shoulder, ‘We should hang out more Mikasa. I mean you’re a really cool person. Ya know what I mean?’

‘You think I’m cool?’ I asked her. She grinned then walked away from me. She probably did that to calm my nerves, I never realised that I was surrounded by such kind people. I use to think that everyone was horrible, evil or twisted. But I was wrong, he proved me wrong. I looked over at Eren who was strumming his electric guitar. I’ll do it for him.

‘You guys are up next.’

Let’s do this. When we went up on the stage the lights were shining brightly in my eyes, which was good because I could get distracted by the huge audience. From the distance I heard Eren’s mum shouting Eren’s name. I looked at Eren who had turned red. I laughed then continued walking up to my keyboard. I lowered the microphone then tested the keyboard. All the band members messed around with their instruments until we were told to start. Before we started I heard Annie and Petra shouting ‘Go Mikasa! Girl Power!’

I’m going to kill those guys later.

I looked behind me then Eren nodded at me.

I began the song with only the song playing then I began with the opening.

I see you walking down with that girl,

Why did you have to lie to me?

You should have told me the truth from the start.

I now know…..

The electric guitars came in, then the drums following in with the bass. Everything was thrown in together.

You cannot lie to me.

Even if you stay, I know you will eventually leave.

But shall I tell you?

I continued singing then Eren had his guitar solo which got some cheers from the crowd, most of them being from our class. When we finished our song everyone in the hall cheered. Eren got so excited he jumped onto the crowd then he went over them as people reached out for him. Feeling the excitement in the moment I jumped out onto the crowd as well then everyone cheered as I jumped.

When I felt everyone’s hands reach out for me, the only one I truly wanted to reach out for me was Eren.
