shines from afar, i would,
the light that you hold
cannot be found in everyone,

i found you a while ago
and i'm so pleased i did
i first met you in my dream
but soon you came in reality
the reason i run to you
in times of pain
is because you
give me something
which is ease,
you are my strength when
everything else
seems like falling apart,
i hope that you'll catch me again
like you usually do
there's something in your eyes
that tells me
as long as i'm here with you
nothing can harm me
or more importantly you,
when the days come
where i feel this heaviness of nothing
you're there to pick me up
lift it all off and relieve my stress
with the tenderness of your love
for me and mine to you,
if i could give you the world
i would,
don't even doubt that for a second
but even if i did,
the type of person you are
you wouldn't take it out of generosity,
you just want to be loved
and that's the least i can do
whenever your soul aches
come to me and i'll try my best,
i will always be there
for your comfort,
we battle our battles alone
but together we'll win,
you make me feel comfortable
even with my silence
you'd still want to listen
you're a different kind of beautiful,
i'll say it again and again
until you believe it
that's one attribute that will never change,
when the sun shines
and you're across the land
it's you that i'll look for
in a crowded place,
because we belong together
whatever it takes.
