A/N: Sirius sees his younger brother for the first time in 7 years after a little league Quidditch game

3rd POV:
They say the eyes were a window to a person's soul. You could identify families by the color of their eyes, for the Black's it was grey. Majority of the family had the stone cold grey eyes that set them apart of their family.

After Voldemort had been defeated, blood purity was not a big deal as it was before, you saw purebloods with muggleborns and halfbloods, no snide remarks. But you could tell by the eyes who the Black's were.

Newly resided in Godric's Hollow was Regulus Black along with his wife Y/n Black and their 5 year old son Phoenix Black. Phoenix looked exactly like his father, thick black curly hair, high cheekbones and the famous Black grey eyes. Phoenix wasn't as reserved as he father, he was more outgoing, he played little league quidditch with his cousin Draco. The two were thick as thieves doing everything together, so when Phoenix heard Draco was doing little league quidditch, he had to do it too.

As Sunday rolled around, for Phoenix's game, he was up bright and early jumping on his parent's bed to wake them up. Soon enough Regulus and Y/n were downstairs getting water and snacks ready for his game. Some purebloods families still had a hard time adjusting to the end of 'blood types' so Phoenix's little league quidditch team was all purebloods.

The Black family had just arrived to the Hogwarts Quidditch Field alongside the Narcissa, Lucius and 6 year old Draco Malfoy. The two boys instantly ran towards their coach while the four parents made their way towards the stands.

The Potter's along with Remus and Sirius had also arrived the Quidditch Field for young Harry Potter. Harry like his father had became seeker. The four left Harry on the field and made their way to the stands, unknowing to them, they sat a few stands above The Malfoy's and Black's.

Sirius never knew his brother was right under his nose this whole time, both living in the same town and now at the same quidditch game for their son/nephew.

"Draco Malfoy has caught sight of the snitch." The commentator called. "And it looks like Harry Potter is hot on his trail." Eyes were on the two boys flying through the air looking for the golden ball.

"Phoenix Black has sent a bludger towards Potter defending his cousin and helping his team." Sirius froze. He thought to himself, Andromeda married into the Tonks family and Nymphadora was already in her teenage years, Bellatrix didn't want kids, and Narcissa married into the Malfoy and had Draco. Then it hit him, it was his brother's son. He focused his attention on the 5 year old beater and did a double take. He looked exactly like Regulus, he for sure was a Black.

"And the Flying Eagles win!" They cheered into the microphone. Phoenix and his team set down on the ground cheering. Narcissa, Lucius, Regulus and Y/n cheered for their children. The four of them grabbed their belongings and left their seats, not noticing the Potter's watching them.

"Who was that behind the Malfoys?" James looked at his wife and friends.

"That was Regulus and I think Y/n." Sirius breathed out.

"What!" Remus exclaimed.

Sirius didn't notice his friends calling him to come down to the field to see Harry, he just seemed to aimlessly follow. Once they got into the field, they saw a slightly sad Harry Potter next to Ron Weasley. "It's alright boys, how about we get ice cream?" Lily asked.

Phoenix and Draco ran into the ice cream shop almost pressing their face against the glass. "Hello boys, where are your parents?" Florean asked.

"Draco's parents had to go home, and my mom and dad are coming." Phoenix answered.

After both boys got their ice cream and found a place to seat which was conveniently next to the Potters and Weasleys. The door chimed again when Regulus and Y/n walked in hand and hand. The two scanned the room and found the two boys.

"Regulus?" Sirius looked at his little brother once they started to walk over.

"Sirius." He nodded not wanting to get into a conversation in front of his son and nephew.

"Dad whose that?" Phoenix asked as he sallowed a spoon of ice cream.

"Someone I went to school with." Regulus answered sitting down next to his son.

Sirius frowned at his answer, he was more than 'someone he went to school with' he was his brother for Merlin's sack. The two didn't talk for the rest of the time they were there. Regulus and his family finished first and left the parlor to return Draco to Malfoy Manor. After Y/n, Phoenix and Regulus apparated to the entrance of Godric's Hollow, the family decided to walk back to their house taking in the wonderful weather.

As they took the turn down their street, on the other end, you could see Remus, Sirius and the Potter's. "Why didn't he say anything to me at the ice cream parlor?" Sirius asked.

"Sirius, the two of you aren't in the best relationship at the moment." Remus sighed. "Just give them some time."

"What do you mean time, you saw the kid, that is Regulus's son and he told him I'm just someone he went to school with." Sirius explained.

"Sirius you left him when he was only 15, he was alone and didn't have anybody, you can't expect him to be all happy when you speak to him for the first time in almost 10 years." Lily explained.

"What do I do then, just wait for him to come to me, what if that never happens?" Sirius asked.

"It probably won't." James called which earned him a smack on the back of the head from Lily. "Owww."

"Don't say that." Lily scolded. "Start slow, write him a letter, apologize for leaving and maybe ask him for lunch."

"Do you think that will work, did it work when you tried it with Petunia." Sirius said with slight hope.

"No it didn't, but my sister and I were as close as you and Regulus were." Lily answered.

Sirius nodded and continued to walk back to the Potter house. Did what he do 10 years ago affect his brother so much, they don't have a relationship anyway, was he at fault? Sirius went to bed that night with that question in his head, was it worth destroying his brothership to say at the Potters. He lived in that abusive household, but so did Regulus.

Sirius woke up as the sun rise, sitting down at his desk and pulled out a piece of parchment. He dipped the quill in some ink and prepared to write. But he didn't know what to say, where would he begin?

Dear Regulus,
