red light ♡

"how did you guys get together?"

Y/n POV

I step in my car, sitting down and putting my stuff on the seat next to me.

My car isn't anything special, it's a casual car that gets me from point A to point B, given I take care of it so it looks good.

I turn it on, connecting my phone to my Bluetooth and putting my car in drive after hitting play on my playlist.

I drive around for almost an hour, enjoying the views, having nothing but myself and my thoughts

Playing some of the best music, relaxing, it's the reason I love night time drives. They're my comfort.

I get back into town off the highway, Since I plan on going home now, considering it's pretty late.

I get to a red light and grab my phone, turning up the song and rolling my windows down, just letting good energy flow

A car pulls up next to me, but I think nothing of it

"hey!" I hear

I look to my right, confused

I see a guy in said car, windows down, looking over at me and smiling. He has a black beanie on and a button up shirt, and he's kind of cute.

"Hi!!" I yell back, slightly confused but finding this kind of amusing

I turn my song down a little bit, so I can hear what he's saying

"I love that song!!" He yells

"Thanks!! I love it too" I reply, with a smile

"You drove past me like a mile back, I just wanted to say I think you're super pretty!" He yells, unexpectedly

"Oh my god!! Thanks so much!! You are cute yourself" I respond, still smiling

"Why are you out this late?" He asks, finally not yelling anymore since I paused the music

"I went for a late night drive! I just like doing this as a stress reliever" I say back

Before he can respond, a car comes up behind me and honks, as I realize quickly the light turned green

"Shit sorry!!" I yell out my window and drive forward, and about a mile ahead I get to another red light, and he pulls up next to me again

"Hi again!" I laugh

"Hey!! I do the same thing, I love going for night time drives! Maybe we could do it together some time!" He says, flashing a smile at me

We both laugh, and I lean over my side console.

"How about you give me your number, and I'll text you about it?" I reply, looking forward realizing the light is gonna turn green soon

"It's 605–475–6961!" He says

I put it into my phone, and smile at him

"Awesome!! I'll text you, have a good night!" I say, smiling before I notice the light turned green, and I drive off, hearing him yell bye as I do so, and seeing him go straight and turning right behind me.

What a cool stranger, what a cool experience.

The whole rest of my drive home, about 15 minutes, I think about what I'm gonna text him, I mean he was cute, and he seems fun. Should I make a move? Start a casual conversation?

"And then when I got home, I texted him asking if he made it home safe" I smiled

"Yeah, and I was like who tf is this and you were like the 'it's stop light girl' " he says, imitating my voice at the end

"Yeah yeah yeah, shut up" I laugh

"So yeah, that's how I met Alex and now I'm stuck with the bitch" I say and he pushes me a little bit, laughing along

"Chat ask us more questions we just told a whole ass story" he says, looking at his computer

"Is Alex a good boyfriend? No he's terrible" I respond

He stares at me, making a face, and I ignore it continuing to look at chat while trying not to laugh

"Is Alex a good kisser? No, also terrible." I say

"He's kind of just terrible all around" I say again, and sit up, looking at him still staring at me

I burst out laughing, not being able to take him seriously with the face he's making

He looks at chat and back at me again

"My girlfriend hates me guys, twitch prime- twitch primes to make me feel better chat she hates me" I laugh, and we continue his chill alt stream, and end it after about another 20 mins.

Once it's ended, I go lay on his bed, and he starts cleaning up his room a little bit

"I haven't thought about that in a while" he says

I look up, confused "thought about what?" I ask

"The stop light, how I randomly saw you driving and decided to pull up next to you at the stop light and give you my number" he says, pausing what he's doing and looking at me

"I'm glad you did though" I smile, getting up and walking to him and hugging him

"I'm glad I did too, babe" he says, placing a kiss on my head, as we rock back and fourth a little bit.

"Otherwise, I would've never met you, and if I never met you, I couldn't do this" he says, and picks me up and slams me onto the bed, and immediately starts tickling me, making me laugh as I try to push him away

"Get OFF OF MEE you freak" I yell, trying to escape

"Tell me I'm a good kisser and I'll stop" he laughs, still holding me down and tickling me

"I would never lie!!" I say, still laughing

He stops and makes a fake pouty face, walking away

"Oh my god babe you're so dramatic, you're a good kisser come here" I say, rolling my eyes and smiling

He comes back to me and I give him a few kisses, smiling at him

"Stop light y/n would've never treated me like that" he says

"Oh shut the hell up" I laugh

"Stop light y/n had no clue what she was getting herself into." I laugh again

"Shut up, you know you love me" he laughs and I laugh back

"yeah, I think I've loved you since I saw you at that stop light" I smile

"simp."
