Seven was alone. Sure she had been alone before but never like this, never to the point that she had no one. At least in there, there were other children to talk to. At least in there, she wasn't completely on her own.

The streets of New York were busy but no one took any notice of the teenager who walked alone, considering they all had somewhere to be and something to do. Seven looked around with wide eyes. She had never been outside in the real world and everything was overwhelming and all too much for the teenager. Her head was pounding, screaming for her to take a break, to sit down, and just let her body rest but she pushed the feeling away. She had to put as much distance between herself and them as possible. She couldn't risk being dragged back.

Eventually, she spotted a gap between two buildings and limped inside, throwing her body down onto the pavement by the dumpster, desperately trying to catch her breath. The alley smelt and she was terrified but it would have to do for tonight, or at least until she decided what she was going to do with herself.

Seven was too weak to use her healing power, her body lined with scratches and bruises. She hadn't eaten in four days and the lack of food was beginning to get to her.

it's okay. I'll sort it out tomorrow. She thought to herself before finally letting herself sleep, tiredness overcoming her body.

---------------------------

"Get up" A voice called and Seven opened her eyes, expecting to see the dirty alleyway she had fallen asleep in. Instead, she was met with a painfully familiar sight as a pair of grey eyes stared back into hers, making her jump.

How? Seven was sure she had escaped but here she was, back at the place she was supposed to call her home. It definitely wasn't very homely at all. Did they find her and drag her back? Surely not. Otherwise, she would have already received a beating of some sort.

"Testing day Subject Seven" He stated, before turning and leaving out the door he came. Leaving her to her own prison-like cell. She knew she had five minutes to change before she was dragged to be experimented on so she quickly rose from where she was laying on the floor and began moving around, grabbing the only other outfit she owned, experiment attire.

Seven scoffed as she pulled the thin fabric over her head. All these years. Fourteen years and she didn't even have a name? Just Seven. She didn't want to think about where one through six could have gone. Would she be next?

She was dragged through the hallways to the lab, she knew that room all too well. It was where she spent most of her time. Seven had become used to her life in the facility. It sucked and she was pretty much alone but one thing she never got used to the pain she had to endure in the lab, it kept her up at night just thinking about it.

Before she knew what was happening, she was grabbed and carelessly pushed down into a chair, dragging her from her thoughts, restraints being chained at her arms and legs to keep her in place. The room she was in was surrounded by glass, people she assumed to be scientists sat on the other side of the glass watching her, ready to watch the spectacle about to unfold. she was like an animal, kept in a cage and then put on display and she hated every single moment of it.

After a moment the torture began and Seven could feel the electricity surging through her body. They were testing her. Seeing how long she would be able to heal herself before she completely gave out and basically just began to die. Seven knew she was special. She could heal herself and others and she could control the elements, but she wasn't completely sure about that one and the scientists hadn't realized it either. Yet.
