And
There are times,
Life made me feel
Like a mouse in a church,
On a Monday morning.
It's quite and there is nobody.
Just the echo of the clock ticking.
The silence is almost big I can fold it and put it in my pocket.
A large statue of the virgin Mary
Stares at me lovingly,
" I have nothing, I drank it all up" I tell her.
I spot left overs of a chocolate bar,
Probably from some rich entitled kid,
From yesterday's Sunday service.
I smile.
My party.
My only means of survival.
I take a long drag of my cigar
And exhale.
I will fucking live.
