part 1.
"You're emptying the contents of your bag onto the rock," Daichi had said, eyebrow raised in amusement as he leaned against the tuk-tuk, more than happy to just take in the view.
She had a number of things sprawled out onto the faded brown stone, most from their adventures in Sri Lanka. It was initially supposed to be a four-day trip, but here they were, well into their second week. (Y/N) had complained about how her, uh... board (Daichi had very little idea what you do in business things) were going to kill her once they got back, but that was merely a surface worry, as she would then be distracted by alcohol or food, a cheery smile growing on her pretty face as any traces of worry melted away like snow.
There was a whole pile of Sri Lankan rupees, and a few dollars in case, a photograph of Daichi being chased by an elephant, something that had happened in one of the National Parks that still haunted him to this day (he supposed he should've been grateful it wasn't a leopard, but an angry mother with large ivory tusks was apparently just as terrifying), an autograph from Jack Johnson, whom they'd casually run into on the beach, a gorgeous flower (Y/N) had picked and managed to conserve (even if it was whittling away at the edges), train tickets and their hotel key, (though perhaps memories of fleeting kisses counted as souvenirs too).
