"s-senpai-" Higuchi's voice hitch in fear as she saw Akutagawa's eyes change color which used to be black is now red, her body could not move from her position still trying to process what Akutagawa said

she could not understand even one why her senpai became so caring, it was the first time she had seen Akutagawa get so angry with her when he only heard about Atsushi. she saw in his eyes filled with anger and concern at that wear-tiger as if he would go crazy when he could not save Atsushi

she felt her heart will explode with anger and jealousy

'nande?'

even when she was young, she was with Akutagawa wherever he went, she was like a tail always behind her senpai. she always talks to it even if Akutagawa does not respond, she always invites and drags the young Akutagawa back then to invite him to play. even though her senpai was very cold and always gave her a cold shoulder then, she still tried everything to make Akutagawa like her even a little

but she did not think that when they grew up their distance from each other widened, Akutagawa who became even colder and too brutal and thoughtless but only for his own sake, he no longer pays attention to Higuchi after all that. as if he had forgotten what they had been together for when they were young

but for Higuchi it is okay for her not to be noticed by her senpai because it is enough for her to be with Akutagawa in one team, she will do everything just for him, just to notice her again, and to make him proud

even though she knew in herself that every single mistake she made she will receive a slap from Akutagawa, but even so she was not angry with her senpai, because she knew that he was just correcting every mistake she made

but...

but what she just could not understand was why Atsushi got her senpai's full attention so easily? while she was having a hard time approaching and talking to her senpai?

since they met that wear-tiger, Akutagawa's full attention has always been on her, he always chases after it, he always insults it, he always hurts it. but all that was replaced by concern and love. he has had feelings for Atsushi ever since. even though she was pretending to be a guy, Higuchi noticed in Akutagawa's eyes that he liked Atsushi even though he did not admit it.

so she asked herself then, what does Atsushi have that she does not have?

she knew she was not as beautiful and powerful as that wear-tiger, but she was the first to meet Akutagawa! she is always by his side whether he is sad or not! even though Akutagawa always gives her a cold shoulder she knows she still has hope!

 so why Atsushi? why not just her?

"senpai, do you hear what you are saying?! why are you listening to those people?! they might just be lying!" Higuchi shouts trying to change her senpai's mind but the only answer she received from Akutagawa was a frightening growl

"I will not repeat what I said Higuchi, get. out. of. my way!" his hand grabbed Higuchi's shoulder and pushed it to one side without hesitation

but the yellow-haired girl just blocked his path, other members of the Port Mafia trying to get their leader's attention to save her from Akutagawa. because they know that Akutagawa is too impatient that it can kill them in no time

while other members of the Agency, just watched the scene without expression because the only thing they need in the Port Mafia is to ask for help to save their wear-tiger, they are also losing time, and they are starting angry with Higuchi

they could not understand that girl, because every information they told them was very clear right? Besides, the word 'help' is not difficult to understand, is it?!

"Higuchi, this is your last chance to leave my path" Akutagawa warned that he was ready to hurt his kouhai in anger

"no! I will--"

before she could finish what she was saying, she felt a strong impact on her cheek. she felt burning. her eyes filled with tears she slowly looked at Akutagawa. she was trying to speak, but she swallowed all those words

the eyes of her senpai who glared at her angrily while one of her hands that slapped her was still raised in the air

"w-why--"

"you no longer have to ask why" Dazai interrupted and slowly approached Higuchi

"how many times has he told you to leave his path? many times right? but what did you do? you still follow yourself" Dazai sighed deeply

"I will just make it clear to you that we came here to ask for help and not to fight, and that is not the only reason, because Akutagawa was the person who was with Atsushi-kun at that time before he was kidnapped" Dazai remarked pointing to Akutagawa who was behind him

"and why would we hurt him? if we do that we have done it for a long time before you know it" 

Dazai's eyes narrowed at Higuchi who was still stunned "you know we are in the middle of a big problem, and Atsushi-kun's life depends on it. if you do not want to help us, you are free to leave. but if you want to help us, we appreciate your help more" 

Dazai stared at Higuchi for a few seconds and gave her a smile "I know how you feel right now, but you need to put that aside first. if you think about it over and over again nothing will happen to you, but you will only feel anger and jealousy" 

"so, if you really want your senpai to be proud of you, you will do everything for him right?"
