You could always see her with a bright smile plastered across her pale yet rosy surface. The girl was an angel, beautiful inside and out. Cassie was pretty like a young greek goddess, kind as the life of love and her heart radiated all the colors of the rainbow, not a dull color in sight. Her laugh could make a baby stop crying on the spot due to it's charming yet oh-so innocent manner. Some would say she was a blessing upon earth. A good person with a gentle, sensitive heart would do good on the world they said━━ Or at least that's what the sweet old ladies at the nearby grocery store told her.
Cassie wasn't the type of person to complain about the little things such as school and occasional bad grades. In fact, the kind girl quite enjoyed the public school she had attended. Based on her looks, you might be thinking that she enjoyed Grand Army because she was one of the popular people at the shitty school, the people who preferred to get drunk under the bleachers instead of studying and passing their classes. No, that was far from the case, it was quite the opposite, really. Don't get me wrong, the bubbly girl was far from a buzzkill. Though she did have a social life, it didn't change the fact that the girl did enjoy spending her weekends cuddled in her own bed as she stuffed her petite nose into a good fiction book. She missed the days where she would ace her schoolwork.
Her love for learning was soon overcrowded by her highly hectic homelife, this making her drop out of her beloved school to work and provide for the siblings she was in a way, forced to take care of. See, Evie, Bre and Joshua weren't the only ones with parental issues. The year prior, Cassie Wayward's mother had passed away. Even if it had been hard for the whole family as she was their main care provider due to their father's job, the blonde girl took it the worst. Not only was the bond with her mom ruined due to the tragic death, but she also had to step up and take the responsibility of being a full time mom to her four little brothers.
