Lady Whistledown Pov 

If there is to ever be a grander finish to a season than the one provided by the Duke of Windsor and the soon to be Duchess of Windsor this year, this author will need to feast upon her own words For it was this couple's memorable affair that brought another scandalous London season to a close. As many now leave the city behind for greener pastures, some endings seem more permanent than others. Of course, there are other endings that will offer new beginnings...however uncertain those new beginnings might be.

Adelaide Pov 

"I shall write to you all from Greece." Collin said as he got ready to leave for his trip 

"Do not forget to bring me a gift." George stated and I heard the little laugh the escaped Coles mouth as he watched 

"It is not a gift if you have to ask." Eloise states 

"I would fancy anything blue or white." I say jokingly and everyone lets out a laugh I look to my side where Anthony stands 

"Anthony, I do not recall seeing you last night." I say and I feel Cole place his hands on my waist possessively 

"Yes. I was feeling rather unwell. My apologies, Adel. But in that congratulations to both of you" Anthony says and I turn to smile at Cole 

"Thank you Bridgerton" Cole says giving a small smile to Anthony 

"Well... The two of you are now off to travel, I presume?" Anthony asks and I sigh 

"We have decided to stay in London a little longer. Take some time to enjoy ourselves, just the two of us." Cole says resting his head on my shoulder 

"And you? What are your plans, Anthony?" I ask smiling 

"Nothing of note. Other than finding and promptly declaring my intentions to my new viscountess, of course." he says and I let out a shocked gasp 

"The viscount is ready to find and declare his intentions? Did you hear that, Your Grace?" I say turning to Cole who smirks 

"And which young lady?" Cole asks 

"Does it matter? I have finally determined the difficulty... Love itself. Removing it from all romantic relations shall make me all the better for it. No more distractions from responsibility or being waylaid from the sensible path. At any rate, enjoy your time." Anthony states 

"Perhaps he will learn." I say hopefully to Cole who shakes his head 

"Perhaps not." he whispers and I nod.

And yet... there is no ending in sight for this author, who recently became aware of a scheme to unmask her... by one worthy opponent, indeed. Perhaps I will come forward one day. Though, you must know, dear reader, the decision shall be left entirely up to me. Yours truly, Lady Whistledown.

Adelaide Pov

"I shall need you to push, Your Grace. Push!" The doctor screams 

"Shut it" I yell back screaming as I try to push 

"Addie I'm here" Cole whispers holding my hand 

"What happened to travelling" I scream as I take a final push and I hear the cries of a baby 

"Congratulations, Your Graces. A boy." the nurse says walking up be and I hold the boy in my hands 

"Do you wish to hold him?" I say turning to hand him over to Cole who just smiles with tears in his eyes 

"We must think of a name." I whisper as Cole holds our son in his hands. 

"Whatever it is, I believe it must begin with the letter "A." We do have family traditions, do we not?" Cole says looking at Lady Bridgerton who also looks at me with tears 

"We certainly do, Your Grace." she whispers and I smile as Cole quickly places his lips on mine 

"Congratulations Adel" Daphne says as her and Simon enter the room 

"The four of us are now all parents who thought the day would come" Simon says laughing. 

"Definitely not me" Cole says staring back down at the baby.
