"The sit-in is this Friday! Walkout starts at two-thirty and we meet in the great hall. Bring things to keep your mind occupied cause we're going to be there till dinner starts at five. Questions?" I say to my big group of H.A.N.D members sitting in the Hufflepuff common room.

A few hands go up, "Alice?"

"What if teachers say no? Like they won't let us out of the class?"

"Walkout anyways," Hugo says standing beside me with a clipboard in his hands, "This is bigger than our grades will ever be."

"Says the Ministers son," Someone from the back of the group says.

"Yeah, the Ministers son who'd get hit upside the head if my grades ever dipped under an E. But I'd take it if it means that non-humans get the rights they deserve. Don't you think that that's worth the possible grade slip every once in a while?" Hugo says it calmly but there's bite in his tone.

"Tell your friends, the more that walk out the bigger the impact! Professor Weasley is letting his entire class out at two-thirty and he's joining the sit-in." I say, trying to stop Hugo from getting too annoyed with that kid. "Uh, that's about it! I have posters by the door so pick up a bunch on your way out and post them all around the school! I got my sisters to charm them so that teachers can't read what they say."

The crown breaks out into applause and soon everyone who doesn't belong in the common room is gone. Josie comes over to me once everyone has left and puts her hands in her back pockets, "You're good at that. I could never stand up in front of people and talk like that."

I smile and pull her in for a hug, resting my chin on the top of her head, "Course you could darling." I say to her.

Josie wraps her arms around my torso and squeezes, "You're cute, but I really could never."

I look away from Josie for a moment and lock eyes with Gilbert who is standing with Lucy and Oscar not too far away. He smiles and turns back to the conversation that he's in. Since he told me that he fancies me I feel awkward showing any form of physical affection to Josie when he's around. I know that he told me it was fine and I thought that it wouldn't affect me the way it has been. But you know, when your best friend says that they fancy you things change just a little bit.

Josie helps me pack up all of my things that I was using for the meeting and together we head over to where Oscar, Lucy, and Gilbert are standing.

"You really think that people are going to walk out of class and come join you?" Oscar says.

I shrug, "Even if they don't come into the great hall after they walk out, the more people that walk out of class the better."

"Next time you do a walkout you should have like activities and things for people to do," Josie says snaking her arms around my torso and giving me a side hug.

"Mum and Dad said that they would sponsor me stuff during the spring and summer so that we can have things to do outside instead of just bumming around in the great hall twiddling our fingers."

"Okay enough about all this, can we go study for our charms test? I haven't got a clue what I'm supposed to be learning about." Gilbert says, "No offence Theo, H.A.N.D is very important but like, we have a test."

"We can go to the astronomy tower, no one's ever in there," Josie says, "I'll go grab my stuff!" She pecks my cheek and heads off into the girl's dormitory. My friends all share a look.

"What?" I ask them.

They look at each other again, "Nothing," Oscar shrugs.

"Seriously, what? I thought you all liked Josie."
