Jungkook was Jimin's batchmate in college. They were not really friends but knew of each other. Jungkook had the biggest crush on the tiny boy and so he asks the boy out only for the boy to reject him 

"I'm sorry… I can't date you… I don't want to date someone I can't marry… and I can't marry anyone other than someone my parents bring me… I'm really sorry…" Jimin says softly before walking away 

So now what would the love struck guy do? Bring the proposal to Jimin's parents, of course 

But yet again Jimin refuses, which makes Jungkook upset 

"Didn't you say you would marry the guy your parents bring you... and still you say no... you hate me that much?" Jungkook scoffs "...you should have just told me that you didn't like me then...before I involved my parents in this"

Jimin watches the man go downstairs. Their parents had told them to talk upstairs, giving them their privacy 

No... I love you too.. but I am afraid of the hate you will have for me when you know the truth… I can't bear the one I love come to hate me

But they get married anyway as Jungkook's mom knows Jungkook likes Jimin. Jungkook had never shown an interest in anyone and they thought he would die a virgin. They needed this marriage more than anyone and this upset Jungkook because it seemed like Jimin didn't want this 

But after the marriage, Jimin took care of Jungkook even when the taller acted cold towards him. Of course Jungkook couldn't  stay upset at Jimin for so long. He was already in love with his tiny husband way before marriage

It has been 3 months since their marriage, they slowly started their relationship as friends and it was progressing well. That was till one day Jungkook had to go to Japan for a weekend business meeting. Jimin wouldn't answer his calls but would message that he was fine

Jungkook returns home to find Jimin sick in bed. The boy had high fever and was shivering 

Jimin wouldn't stop crying. No matter how many times Jungkook tried to find out the reason why, Jimin wouldn't say anything 

"Please  don't leave me…" that's all Jimin would say 

Two days of this same routine and Jungkook forces Jimin to get out of bed and eat. That's when the boy faints and Jungkook panics, immediately taking him to the hospital

"Mr Jeon is stressed. He hasn't eaten for days…." 

Jungkook is angry and also confused - what happened in the 2 days he has been away on business 

Jimin is discharged and Jungkook takes him home. Jimin is still weak and drowsy, so Jungkook decides to change the boy himself. They hadn’t seen each other naked till this point 

Jungkook's eyes widen, he can feel angry raise in his body 

"What is this?!.... who did this to you?!" Jungkook is angry at the bruises on Jimin’s body 

Jimin in his weak state tries to escape seeing the taller's angry but Jungkook was faster and he throws Jimin back on the bed to contain him as Jimin was being uncooperative 

Jungkook was fed up of Jimin hiding things. It's obvious something happened for Jimin to be acting this way and having bruises 

"Please don't hurt me" Jimin cries covering his face and Jungkook's heart broke- did Jimin really think he was going to hit him?

"B-baby… y-you didn't think I would hit you… d-did you?" Jungkook's voice wavered 

Jimin's tears subside when he feels Jungkook's tears on his chest

"I would never hurt you… I love you Jimin… I am sorry… I just wanted to know why you are acting this way…" 

They stay like that for a while, embracing each other till Jimin tells him the truth 

Jimin is an orphan. Jimin's adoptive parents are abusive. That's why he didn't encourage a love relationship. He rejected Jungkook a second time because he thought maybe the man liked him because he has a good family and he was afraid if Jungkook would think less if him if he knows he is an orphan. That would hurt Jimin more as he really loved Jungkook. After Jungkook left for Japan, his parents had come over and hit him when he said he wasn't intimate yet with Jungkook. They wanted Jimin to get pregnant and then divorce the man and then they can get child support from Jungkook. They want Jimin to marry some other guy after they get money from Jungkook 

"I'm sorry for becoming selfish and not telling you the truth earlier of who I am….It's the first time someone liked me...and I felt loved and comforted and safe. And I didn't want you to leave me .... I'm sorry Jungkook…" 

Jungkook hugs the boy "...I loved you way before I even knew about your family Jimin… don't ever doubt my love for you…." Jungkook pecks the boy's forehead softly "...I will make this right…"

Jungkook involves the police and the medical team to document the bruises on Jimin and filed a case of parental abuse on Jimin

Needless to say Jimin's adoptive parents had a restraining order against the Jeon family and Jungkook made sure to cut off any evidence of Jimin ever being their son. Jimin is officially a Jeon now

Jungkook hugs the tiny human next to him on the bed 

"I love you… I hope you can forget the past and focus on our future together…" Jungkook brings the hand that rested on his chest to his lips "...I love you Jeon Jimin…"

"I love you too.. thank you for everything…" Jimin smiles as he feels Jungkook's hold on him tighten 

He is finally home
