Chapter 21- Geting Comfortable

It was almost if everyone had ignored when Bruce said that she could use a wheelchair

As soon as Bruce was done with her in the med bay, Sam picked her up gently and started walking ever so slow and gently with her to the kitchen

He sat her down in a bar stool that was around the island and stood behind her to act as a support she could lean back against

"She needs something nutritious and calorie packed" Bruce said

Valentina had to stop herself from physically shuddering and cringing at the 'calorie packed' part

Wanda shoved everyone out the way and started going through the fridge as soon as the words left his mouth

"Full English breakfast?" She asked

"That should do for now" Bruce said nodding

As she started cooking, everyone feel into a peaceful routine

Tony started making coffee, Steve was reading a news paper on the couch, Peter and Pietro had just come down and turned the TV on low volume

The sound of the tv, coffee machine, and the food on the stove all blurred together and made a pleasant white noise for Valentina

Her body relaxed and she leaned back on Sam

Eventually her eyes started to get heavy

"You can't sleep just yet ok? You gotta wait at least an hour" Bucky said putting a hand on her shoulder, causing her to sit up almost immediately

Food was done in no time, and by then, everyone was downstairs and staring at Wanda like hungry puppies

She started plating some food and as soon as she gave the word everyone went to get their plates

Wanda gave the plate to Valentina

Valentina looked down at the plate and instantly wanted to vomit

There were so many calories on her plate

How would she ever burn them off fast enough not to gain weight when they wouldn't even let her walk by herself

Valentina looked up and saw Wanda and Natasha looking at her expectingly

She sighed and picked up her fork

She ate

Slowly

Making sure she chewed her food for longer than necessary

Everyone was eating so no one was starting at Valentina, which did make her feel better

After eating half the plate she put her hands on her lap

Bruce looked a little unhappy but knew it would be unhealthy to force her to eat more

Eventually, they got up and started cleaning up

Wanda and Tony took Valentina to the couch and forbade her to get up by herself

Valentina couldn't help but think back to the meal she had just ate

So many colonies that she would have no way of burning off

She wracked her brain for a solution

"Your thinking too much" Tony said as he watched her stare into space

"You need to turn your thoughts off and just relax" he added putting an arm around her shoulder

"Easier said then done" Valentina mumbled

"Actually, it's pretty easy, when you have two people that can help with that" he said

"Oh right, I forgot I could do that!" Wanda said happily

"If you allow me, I can help you turn your thought off" she added

"I don't know how much I like the thought of you being in my head" Valentina said skeptically

"Oh don't worry, I won't look at anything, I'll only be putting a wall up and holding it in place" Wanda clarified

"It's either let Wanda and Loki help you or we give you sedative pills" Steve said coming out of the kitchen

"No one asked you Rogers" Valentina mumbled annoyed

"I'm only telling you the truth" he added sitting down on the sofa across from her

"As much as I don't want to, that's where we're at, you need to recover" Bruce said

"Ok fine. You can use your magic stuff and put up that wall" Valentina says

"You'll essentially be asleep for most of the time. Not completely unconscious, but just extremely relaxed for as long as I'm in your head" Wanda explained

Valentina just nodded

"Logan" Wanda said while gesturing to the sofa Valentina was on

Tony got up and Logan took a seat her left, his body facing her

In nothing but sweatpants might I add

"Go ahead and lay down with Logan" Wanda said

"Why do I have to lay with him?" Valentina asked

"He's got the most body heat of us all. It'll help keep you under. Trust me, you'll feel wonderful" Wanda said putting a hand on her shoulder and pushing her down gently

Logan grabbed Valentina and pulled her against his chest, laying her body in between his legs

As soon the back of Valentina's neck touched Logan's chest, she felt the warmth, and definitely wasn't complaining

Wanda sat on the edge next to Logan's hips and focused on Valentina

Loki came and stood over them, putting a hand on Wanda's shoulder, offering her support and energy if she needed it

Wanda put her hand on Valentina's cheek and took a deep breath

"Alright, now you just close your eyes and think about Logan underneath you, and my hand on your cheek" she said

Valentina closed her eyes and did exactly that

"Can you hear me" Wanda's voice said, but it was lighter and more delicate than usual

"I'm speaking though your subconscious, if you feel troubled or attacked, I'll know, and I'll be able to pull you out. Just relax. You don't need to worry about anything. You're safe" she said

In a matter of seconds, Valentina was passed out, after repeating 'I'm safe' once

All of her weight released onto Logan's body and her breathing was consistent

Loki grabbed a throw blanket and draped it over the two

Valentina started shifting And turned so she was chest to chest with Logan and her cheek was on his upper chest

Logan wrapped one arm around her waist and the other went to her head, massaging her scalp very lightly and gently
