Chapter 32: Y/N

Third Person POV 

Ozpin was sitting in his office as he sipped out of his mug, looking at Y/N's files. 

Ozpin: He seems to be doing better. 
He said to himself as he looked at his grades. 

Ozpin: Both his grades in Oobleck's and Ports have gotten better. 
He said to himself before hearing the door open. 

???: Huh Headmaster Ozpin, may I talk to you about something? 

Ozpin: Of course dr. 
He said as he looked at the doctor. 

Doctor: So this surgical process, it has a likely 80 percent that it'll be successful. 

Ozpin: Okay. What seems to be the problem?

Doctor: I'm just concerned that even if the surgery was successful, he won't be able to recover completely. 
He said to him. 

Ozpin: In other words-

Doctor: The body may heal but the mind is not so always resilient. 

To Y/N 

Y/N: Whoa. 
He said in awe as he watched Pyrrha dodged an attack from Cardin. 

Ruby: She's so awesome. 
She whispers excitingly. 

SLASH 

Pyrrha slashed through Cardin as his aura shatter before being hit at the side of the head with her spear. 

THUD 

Goodwitch: And that is the match. 
She said as she stepped into the arena. 

Cardin: Grr. 
He growls as he slowly got up. 

Goodwitch: Well done Ms Nikos, you should have problem qualifying for the tournament. 
She said as she looked at her. 

Pyrrha: Thank you professor.

Goodwitch: Alright now, I know that a tought act to follow but we have time for one more sparing match. Any volunteers? 
She asked as she looked around the room. 

Goodwitch: Ms Belladonna? You've been rather docile for the past few classes. Why don't yo-

???: I'll do it. 
A boy with grey hair said with his hand up. 

Goodwitch: Mercury is it? Very well, lets find you an opponent. 
She said as she looked at her tablet, looking for an opponent. 

Mercury: Actually I wanna fight her. 
He said as he points to Pyrrha. 

Pyrrha: Me? 
She asked as she looked at him. 

Goodwitch: I'm afraid Ms Nikos has just finished a match. I'd recommend you choose another partner. 

Pyrrha: No, it's fine. I'd be happy to oblige. 
She said as Mercury stepped onto the stage as he got into his stance. 

Mercury suddenly charged at Pyrrha and threw a right kick at Pyrrha. Pyrrha blocked the kick with her shield before swiping at his feet, knocking him down. Mercury quickly got up before backing up as he looked at her. 

Mercury: Not bad. 
He said to himself. 

Ruby: Whoa. He's pretty good. 
She said with awe as Y/N chuckles to her. 

Mercury charged at Pyrrha and threw multiple kicks at her, pushing her back before throwing another kick at her to only hit her shield. Pyrrha grabbed her spear and blocked his kicks before her spear was kicked out of her hold. Seeing this, Mercury threw a roundhosue at her as Pyrrha slowly raised her hand, redirecting his kick. Mercury spun around and knelt on the ground, confused before turning around to see Pyrrha charging at him. Mercury quickly uses her shield to back up as she charges at him. 

Mercury: I forfeit.
He said as he looked at Goodwitch. 

Pyrrha: Y-You don't even want to try? 
She asked as she looked at him. 

Mercury: Why not? We're obviously leagues apart. 
He said as he looks at her. 

Goodwitch: In that case, Pyrrha Nikos is the victor of the match. Again. Next time you may want to think a little harder before choosing an opponent. 

RING 

Goodwitch: And remember that the dance is this weekend but you all have your first mission on Monday. 
She told everyone. 

Ruby: Hey Y/N. Want to hang out at lunch? 
She asked as she looked at him. 

Y/N: Yeah. Why not. 

Ruby: YEAH! 
She yelled excitingly before getting up. 

Weiss: Shh. No need to yell. 
She said to her. 

Ruby: Hey! 
She pouts. 

Yang: Come on. Let's go to the cafeteria, I'm starving. 
She said as she walked out of the room, her hands on the back of her head. 

Ruby: Hey wait for me! 
She yelled as she strolled Y/n out of the room to see Ozpin. 

Ruby: Oh hey Headmaster.
She said as she looked at him. 

Ozpin: Hello Ms Rose, may I talk to Mr L/n? 
He asked her. 

Ruby: Oh okay. I'll see you later Y/N. 
She said before walking away. 

Ozpin: How are you doing Mr L/N? 
He asked as he looked at him. 

Y/N: I'm doing well. 
He said to him. 

Ozpin: That's good to hear. 

Y/N: What did you want to talk to me about? 

Ozpin: Oh... I'm here to talk to you about your recovery. 

Y/N: Oh... 

Ozpin: Are you ready for the surgery?
