𝓣𝓱𝓮 𝓐𝓾𝓽𝓸𝓹𝓼𝔂 𝓸𝓯 𝓦𝓪𝔂𝓵𝓸𝓷 𝓕𝓸𝓻𝓰𝓮

Addison Cullen was completely and utterly relaxed as the soft breeze gently rocked the white string hammock back and forth, the bright sun shining down warming her naturally cold body made everything better along with the slight tingle of the sparkles plus there was no school for the Cullen Family which meant no Isabella drama.

Jasper Hale couldn't stop the loving smile that tugged at the corners of his lips at the sight of his wife, her bright golden eyes were closed and a relaxed smile was painted on her blush pink lips and her hair was slightly ruffling as the wind softly rocked the hammock back and forth. To him, she looked like an angel, so innocent and beautiful. Addison's skin jumped when his hand touched her leg breaking her from her peaceful daze, "you need to stop hanging with Alice, your starting to get sneaky like she is which is not good for my health" a laugh fell from his mouth at her quiet mumble of words. "I'm not sneaky, you were just lost in your own thoughts doll" she hummed not responding with words but she opened her arms as a silent way of asking him to join her and he couldn't help but give in. Addison couldn't help but laugh when she was moved on top of his chest when he almost tipped the hammock, his leg leaning over the side to keep them steady "you know for a vampire you're not very graceful" she teased situating herself so she was once again comfortable.

"It's the damn hammock's fault not mine" he retorted making her laugh harder as he contuined to defend himself "seriously who made these things so wobbly".

Carlisle Cullen was torn the moment he stepped out on the balcony and saw the couple. Addison and Jasper both had earbuds in as they cuddled on the hammock softly swinging back and forth, their eyes were closed and you'd think they were sleeping from how peaceful they looked but he had gotten a call from Charlie Swan about another body and Addison was always helpful during the examination even Charlie respected her detective work.

He gently tapped Jasper's leg making the honey blonde's eyes flutter open with a groan, Addison following his movements with a small yawn "what's the matter, Lisle"  she mumbled making Carlisle feel worse for bothering the couple knowing all of his children have been stressed ever since the Isabella/Edward situation. "Chief Swan called there's been another possible murder" Addison and Jasper were suddenly 'awake' both exchanging concerned looks.

Addison and Carlisle Cullen walked into the police station, Addison politely moving out of the way as the cops stressfully weaved around her, and her adoptive father, Charlie Swan was in the middle of all of the stress slight relief painting his features when he saw the two Cullen's. "Dr. Cullen, Addison thank you for coming on such short notice" the two politely smiled before following the Chief towards the back room where the body was waiting to be autopsied. Addison busied herself with setting down Carlisle's bag of medical supplies, she technically couldn't touch the body too much because she was only a 'high-school intern' but she was okay to help out with evidence and taking notes.

She noticed Charlie's sad look the moment Carlisle removed the sheet from Waylon's dead body, she understood what it feels like to lose a close friend but she didn't know what it felt like when they ended up getting murdered. "You don't have to be here for this part Chief" Charlie took a deep breath before giving the girl a small smile "no I need to be here" the two Cullen's nodded understandingly before getting to work. Addison quietly worked around her father writing down everything important that he mumbled to her, she noticed the marks before he did gently nudging him before pointing at the bites. "Another animal attack" Carlisle noted making Charlie let out a small groan as his hand slid down his face in utter annoyance "goddamn animal attacks".

Addison carefully covered his body back with the sheet making sure the body covered before following Carlisle and Charlie further into the office for her favorite part of the investigation, the part she was told she was amazing at which was studying evidence, photographs, maps, etc. Addison Cullen pointed at the maps placed on the table, the two men following her every word and movement "so the body was found in this area which could mean that the animal is traveling this way but the thing that doesn't make sense is why it came all this way from Mason unless we're dealing with a pack which could possibility".  Charlie nodded letting out a heavy sigh as he scratched his neck "alright well, thank you both for coming on such short notice, you've been a big help" Addison placed a sympathetic hand on his shoulder before following her father outside the police station.

"Be nice" Carlisle muttered when they both spotted Edward and Isabella making Addison roll her eyes before agreeing to her father's terms "what happened" Edward asked concerned. "Waylon Forge was found in the woods out near his place, we just examined the body" Isabella's emotions were nothing but horrified pushing away the confusion on how Addison helped examined a body. "He died-how" Addison spoke up in a surprisingly polite tone making her adoptive father and brother proud "it was an animal attack," she noticed Bella was going to ask another question making her quickly cut her off, "we think it was the same one who killed the security guard in Mason". "So it's getting closer to town" Edward spoke up this time "Waylon lived all the way down on Queets River 74 miles south" Addison was quick to correct his mistake "75 miles south" Edward didn't hold back his smile when the girl acknowledged his presence even it was to correct his tiny mistake.

Addison could tell that Isabella was going to continue questioning them so she gave the girl a kind reassuring smile before speaking once again "Bella, you should go inside. Waylon was Charlie's friend, he shouldn't have to go through this alone" the human nodded giving up on the subject as she headed towards the door making Addison almost sigh from relief "yeah, this was no normal animal attack". 

A/n~ Being back to school five days a week is literally kicking my ass...
