My body freezes completely. What do I do? I didn't want to scream. That would be idiotic. I take the quietest step back, my hands shaking. If I could at least get a picture, I could prove the previous victims lack of insanity.

My hand travels down to my pocket where my phone was. I turn it on, gulping hastily. I wasn't dead yet, so that was good. I turn the flash off, taking as many pictures as possible. My heart dropped when the sirens staring blaring unintelligible nonsense, before the white noise became more clear.

"BZZZT. THIS IS A TEST BBZZT"

"There have been several missing hikers in Graycotte forest."

"Reports say the bodies that have been found were torn apart my some immense force."

"BODIES..GONE..BLOOD..YES." BZZTTT."

Oh how badly I wanted to scream. Instead a pathetic squeak left my lips, my voice lacking. I covered my mouth, shaking as the creature's sirens abruptly stopped to the wimpy sound I made.

It loomed over to me, before taking a step. Fuck no. I cannot stand here anymore. I need to get back to the station. I sprinted across the forest floor, kicking up tremendous amounts of dirt.

My feet were wobbling from how nervous I was, struggling to maintain balance as thunderous footsteps shook the ground below me. I felt a loss of weight around my waist, before I stepped on something that cracked underneath my foot. Unfortunately, I had absolutely no idea where I was going. For all I knew, I could've been running further in. Which I indefinitely was.

The road was gone, just trees. So many trees. Sirens blared behind me yet again, loud and powerful. They were police sirens, but I had a sense that the creature was trying to give me a sense of lost hope. My {E/C} looked back, but I spotted no sign of the creature. How fast and how far did I run? I honestly don't care right now.

I tap my waist. Shit.

My walkie talkie was gone. "Fucks sake.." I say between gritted teeth, clenching my fists. "Fuck.." I whisper breathlessly, panting for breath as tears clogged my eyes. If I was going to survive for a few days, I'd need to find shelter. Anything would be great. I wipe my eyes and nose with my wrist, sucking it up. "Right, I know there are some ranger towers. That's what Imogen said yesterday," a sigh passes my lips and I take a moment to think.
