"Y-You're what?" His voice falters.

"Visiting John." I repeat and he frowns deeply.

He shakes his head opening his mouth struggling to find words. "Why would you... Why? For what?"

I shrug my shoulder stiffly. "They said he wanted to see me so I said that I'd do just that."

"Who cares if he wants to see you, Avery? He's just gonna find a way to hurt you again!" He says loudly in frustration running his hand down his face.

"Well, then it's my problem and not yours!" I shout back before my voice goes quiet again. "And maybe he is different now."

He looks at me sympathetically, unbuckling his seatbelt he leans towards my figure slumped against the seat and hugs me. I lean into his touch and breath in deeply enjoying his minty scent as I rest my head on his shoulder. I feel his fingers play with my hair like he used to and smile slightly at the memory.

"Avery, people like John don't just change." He says and as he speaks his chest vibrates.

I pull away with a pout. "And what if he has? What if there's a tiny chance he has and I don't visit him?"

"I don't think it's possible." He pinches my cheek playfully and I swat his hand away.

I roll my eyes smiling faintly. "Well, I guess I'll have to see for myself tomorrow."

"I wish I could come and make sure." He says disappointed.

"Maybe I could ask if they could pay for an extra plane ticket." I say.

"Oh no, I'm sure I could get my own ticket. And anyway I have a.. a part-time job I'm starting." He says shaking his head.

"Part-time job? Where?" I ask curiously.

"Oh, you know, just down in the city... Yeah around there." He says vaguely motioning with his fingers.

"No I don't know but ok," I say with a small smile.

With that, I get out of his car and wave goodbye before turning and entering the Dalys house. When I get into the house I go into the kitchen looking for something to eat as I was hungry, taking a bottle of water and making myself a small fruit bowl I get started on my homework for the weekend so that I didn't have to catch on too much when I got back.

Around three hours later I'm done and put all my books away and clean my room. After I get started on packing my bag, filling it with outfits for the four days I'd be spending in England, as well as toiletries and things to keep me busy. Almost an hour later I'm done I decide to download a few playlists from Spotify before stretching and leaving my room.

When I get downstairs and go into the living room I grimace when I see Faith and Veronica with the twins. I had thought what was going on between them at the party was a one-time thing but I see it was not.

"Hi, Avery." Faith grins at me with a wave and I lift my hand up in a small wave before leaving.

I trudge back up to my room and make myself comfortable in bed and switching on the TV. I make myself promise to watch only two movies and go to sleep but knowing me, I'd probably spend the night awake dreading sleep as I knew that even trying to sleep, my brain would be thinking only about tomorrow whereas watching these movies would distract me.

Sighing I press play on the first movie...

Camryns POV

As soon as Avery closes the door, I wave back at her before driving off in Bryans car. She was completely delusional to think it was a good idea to go visiting John in prison. The man abused her for at least half of her entire life yet she thought it was a good idea to go see him. But if that's what makes her happy then so be it.
