Chapter 61

Mia

Charlie took me to the roof revealing a really romantic evening for us.

He had chosen some great films for us to watch on the projector whilst being extra comfy on the blankets and pillows. When he turned on the projector all the tiny fairy lights came on around the rooftop. I just love how he surprises me all the time.

We watched a few films while enjoying a big bowl of popcorn. I love how romantic and loving Charlie is.

We headed back inside after the three films as it had become rather windy. So we went into the lounge and cuddled up on the sofa with some music playing in the background.

I looked at Charlie and kissed his neck and he smiled at me. I climbed into his lap and we kissed, with his hands around my back and mine around the back of his neck he kisses my lips ever so gently, then kisses my neck.

As I kissed him too we both got very turned on. In the passion we stripped off each other and had very steamy and passionate sex on the sofa.

We headed up to bed after and made love again in bed before going to sleep in each other's arms.

The next day I woke up first. I put on my PJ's and went downstairs to make some coffee. Just as I'm at the fridge getting the milk, I feel Charlie's lips against my neck. I turned around and kissed him.

"Good morning beautiful."

"Good morning."

I closed the fridge putting the milk on the side and grabbed Charlie pulling myself into him for a hug. He can see I'm a bit anxious.

"It's going to be fine Mia." He said and kissed my forehead.

I let go of him and finished making our coffees. We take them upstairs and have them while we are getting dressed. I cover up my bruises the best I can with makeup. When we are ready we leave the apartment and get into Charlie's car and drive to Mum's. We pulled up in the drive and I asked Charlie to wait a minute as I'm trying to figure out what I'm saying. Charlie puts his hand on mine. "Mia, they are your family, they will be supportive. Come on."

We get out of the car and walk towards the front door. I am about to knock on the door when Katie opened it.

The three of us smile and say hello. As we walked in I called out for Mum and Chris to join us in the living room.

"Hey honey, Charlie." Mum comes over to me and hugs me and Charlie, then notices my lip.

"Oh Mia, that looks sore, what did you do? And were you ok the other day? You seemed to rush off rather quickly after I came back home." Mum said concerned.

"I think it'll be best if everyone sits down, Mia needs to tell you something." Charlie said. Everyone slowly walked to the sofa looking at me. As everyone was sitting I looked at Mum. "I'm ok now Mum. But I wasn't the other day when I left in a rush. I was deliberately hiding my face from you."

I began to tell them everything that happened here with James.

The other day when you popped out and I stayed here. James came by. He started by apologising to me for all the hurt he had caused me in the past. But while he was talking, he saw Katie's baby scan and assumed it was mine. He went mental at me and hit me across my mouth then smashed that photo I was clearing up the other day. Before he left he punched me so hard across the side of my face that I hit the floor.

Mum is in tears and feels guilty for not being here at the time. I wiped the makeup off my bruise to show them.

"Oh Honey. Why didn't you say anything?" Mum says coming over to give me a hug.
