24) Work for me

Ughhh I'm so tired

Finals are this week and I'm so stressed about these exams. Luckily today was the last day of exams and also the last day before winter break, we usually get 2 weeks off but I need to find a job so I can get money for myself when I'm in college

I finally finished my last exam which was Gal exam. Making us do 50 question and writing an essay under 2 hours. She's crazy. The bell ranged and all the students rushed out the door. I walked out with Samuel until he left.

I walked home and immediately changed into some comfy clothes and lay in bed. Gosh I'm so tired. Gal exam drained me. I'm so relieved it's winter break now

Speaking of Gal, we haven't really talked about that kissed. We got back home 3 weeks ago and both of us never brought it up. I would like to ask her why she kissed me but at the same time I feel like it would make things worse.

I grabbed my phone and played around with it and look for jobs I can during this 2 weeks.

Dad is out like always during this time to the point I feel lonely. I went downstairs and make some dinner when the door bell ranged. I got confused because I wasn't expecting anyone plus it was kinda late

I opened the door and I saw Gal

"Gal, hi. What brings you here?" I asked "Your dad called me to look after you because he'll be coming home later than usual today" She said and I nodded "I bought dinner. I got sushi" She smiled and I let her in.

We ate in the living room while watching Tv when I felt Gal staring at me. I slowly turned my head and she didn't even moved

"Why are you looking at me like that? It's creepy" I said and she chuckled "Sorry but uh is something bothering you?" She asked me and I sigh and nodded "What's wrong?" She put down her sushi

"I've been looking for jobs but most of the jobs need some experience but I haven't gotten any because I never had a job before" I shrugged

"Why are you even looking for jobs?" She asked me "To start saving up for college. You know living alone so I have to buy stuff with my own money since I don't have a card yet" I said

Gal looks like she was thinking

"Work for me"

I looked at her like she was crazy

"I rather not grade papers during this break" I said and she laughed "I mean for my company- well technically my parents company but I own one of the buildings in downtown" She said

"You would do that for me?" She nodded "I'm actually coming back to work over there during this winter break" She said "What would I work for? A janitor? A cook?" I asked

She shake her head

"My personal assistant"

"So I basically have to follow you and your orders?" I asked and she nodded "Sounds easy okay" I smiled "Wait, what is your company even about?" I asked her

"Well my family own a private hospital business. We run hospitals across the US and Canada. Currently my dad is the CEO, but when he retires or resigns I'll be the CEO meaning I have to quit my teaching job" Gal said

"So your office is in the hospital? Will I be there?!" I got excited because I always want to work in the hospital "No, of course not. We actually have a business building where we do all the paperwork and meetings to actually run the hospitals" She said

"When will I start?"

"Tomorrow at 8:00 am. I will pick you up. You work for me everyday until the last day of spring break. I'll pay you $10 and hour." She said

I'm so excited

"Thank you for this opportunity, but I feel kinda bad because others might actually need this job" I said "Don't worry you'll be here for 2 weeks plus I work mostly from home. I'm just going because it's the break so I have time to go" She said and it made me feel better

"Alright I hope you get a good night sleep. Tomorrow is going to be fun" She smirked
