they all watched as tilly screamed and sobbed in distress.
"what is that?" erica had a closer look at her side.
"there's something in there." mike stated.
"shit!"
"Jesus Christ." steve ran his hand through his hair, stressed.
"keep her talking. keep her awake, okay?" jonathan ordered before he ran off.
"i can hear you!" tilly reminded him.
"Jesus Christ." dustin repeated as he took a deep breath.
"here." max took her right hand and squeezed it, letting her know she was there, "lucas!"
the dark-skinned boy nodded as he took the girl's other hand, wincing in distress as she clamped onto it.
will noticed tilly's eyes dropping, "hey, hey, hey. stay awake, stay awake."
"i'm so tired."
"easy, easy, easy, easy."
"it's, uh..." robin started, "you know, it's not actually that bad. there was a... the goalie on my soccer team, beth wildfire, this other girl slid into her leg, and the bone came out of her knee, six inches or something, it was insane."
"robin." steve sighed.
"yeah?"
"you're not helping."
"i'm sorry." robin apologised as jonathan ran over with gloves over his hands and a knife.
"actually, 'bin that makes me feel better."
"really?"
"i mean... no but-"
"okay. all right, matilda jo?" jonathan crouched down.
"do you know what you're doing?" tilly asked as tears ran down her face.
"this is gonna hurt like hell, okay?" jonathan avoided her question, since he didn't know what he was doing, "i need you to stay real still."
"is it a bad time to tell you that she doesn't like knives?" slater quizzed.
he ignored him and handed her a wooden spoon, "here, you're gonna want to bite down on this, okay?"
"Jesus Christ." dustin repeated as will placed the spoon in tilly's mouth.
jonathan put the heated knife right next to the incision, "i need you to make it hotter."
"it looks hot enough to me." slater spoke out. he had been extremely anxious about the whole situation and could literally not stop talking. tilly brushed his comment off and placed her hand on the burning hot knife like it was nothing.
