The next thing I know, I'm flying through the air with my chest feeling like it got kicked by a truck moving at a hundred mph.

The giant in front of was ridiculously fast for its size. It was almost like there was some external power <Other than me> helping it. The moment I even noticed the giant,  It wasted no time in delivering a powerful kick to my chest.

To give you an idea about how much it hurt, imagine a fourteen storey apartment. Now imagine that apartment moving at the speed of a train. Got an image in you head? Now imagine taking the entire force of the building. Now double the pain. That was nothing close to this.

After zooming though the air for a few seconds, I hit a tree and the force of the impact nearly broke my back and the tree. I coughed up a little blood and looked at the giant with anger. This was not normal. Whatever was making the giant do this, was something that I had to deal with later.

I stood up and extended my wings. I summoned the Sword of Eden and thrust my wings to fly upwards. I was almost killed by the mountain sized arms of the giant, in its attempt to hit me. Once I got close enough, I held my sword like a javelin and threw it with all my might.

The sword burst into flames mid-air and embedded itself in the throat of the giant. Hellfire emerged from the wound and started spreading all across the giant's body. It gave out a deep roar of pain that sounded like a volcano erupting.

Gradually it started crumpling into dust. After a while all that was left, was a mountain of ashes...that was gonna be hard to clean up after.

I landed on the ground and searched my pockets for the compass that Odin had given me. I pulled the hexagonal box out and opened it. The needle of the compass started turning randomly before pointing to the north east of my location.

I readied my wings and took off towards the said direction. I maintained a relatively low altitude, not wanting to miss out on any threats on the ground. The last thing I needed was a flaming boulder to hit me while I was singing 'This girl is on fire'...again.

   Those were good times.

I kept flying for around ten minutes, watching the scenery below change with time. I stopped when I felt an aura that was somehow similar. I descended and spotted a bunch of people fighting what looked like scorpions.

I instantly knew that I had found the quest members and that they were in trouble. They were fighting the locusts of the bottomless pit. I figured that they couldn't kill them without my help and I was mostly correct.

There were five quest members and twelve of the monsters. Nearly all of the einherjar members were unable to kill the beasts, just distract them. All except one... that one einherji was an arc of destruction, killing locusts right and left. His weapons easily passed through the monster's hide.

It didn't take a genius to figure out that I had found the Wandering Jew and he was deadly.

Within a second, all that was left of the locusts were dust and mist. I landed a bit away and was about to make myself known before seeing one of the beasts approach him from behind. It lifted its tail to strike. The guy turned but I knew it wouldn't be fast enough to block the strike.

I lifted and pointed my palm towards the monster and shot a beam of pure energy at it, before it could harm anyone. It roared in agony as it solidified and crumpled to dust. The Wandering Jew turned towards me.

Seeing my wings, a look of rage, fear and happiness passed through his eyes. In the mixed cloud of emotions, there was a noticeable glimmer of hope and longing.

I sheathed my wings and walked towards him in a carefree manner. The other einherji readied the weapons but he raised his hand, ordering them to lower their weapons.

"So...you're him" I said "the Wandering Jew." He didn't even look surprised, which just added to my curiosity. "Yes...yes I am" he said. From somewhere behind me, one of his einherji friend spoke.

"Uh Danwer...what are you talking about?" Asked a female voice. I turned and for the first time since my arrival, observed the crowd. 'Danwer' and his companions were all tall and looked to be around 25. They wore battle armour and appeared ready for anything.

Out of the five, I noticed that two of them were guys while the other three were girls. The girls all wore blue capes like things that reached their knees and wielded bows and a spear...it was kinda terrifying when pointed it at you. The guys were all wearing armour and wielded double sided axes. All of them had a few battle scars and flesh wounds.

"Danwer..." I said, turning towards him "An anagram for Wander, as in wandering...I see you got innovative with you name" I said sarcastically.  Danwer growled a bit but I pointedly ignored him.

"Who are you and what do you want?" He asked me impatiently. He was just making it easier for me to kill him. So I got straight to the point.

"I want to kill you. Well, I don't want to but I need to kill you. For the sake of the world and all that." I said, trying to make it sound as passive as possible. I didn't want to fight them and risk delaying the outcome or worse...losing. I expected Danwer to get angry or at least be surprised. Instead he just laughed at my face, as though he heard some kind of joke.

"Yeah go ahead. Many have tried, myself included, and failed" he said, still laughing "Besides, it would be even better if my death was for a cause."

His words probably had the opposite effect on me than he intended. I was killing an innocent person...the fact that he wanted to die somehow made it even worse. And what would I even get killing him? I know the prophecy says that I will know how to defeat War...but how?

"I don't want to kill you, if I can avoid it." I said "But please, tell me anything you can on how to defeat a horseman...War specifically." Danwer stiffened at the mention of War.

"The doors of the bottomless pit are opening aren't they? These monsters...that's where they're coming from..." said Danwer in a low voice. I nodded and spoke "Is there anything you can do to help me?" I asked him, hope evident in my voice. He closed his eyes, as though preparing to deliver grave news and spoke in a serious tone.

"I can lead you to the Pit of Abad'don"
