"You didn't have to take me home."

"I just wanted to make sure you got in okay."

"You didn't have to follow me to my room."

"Yeah, actually I don't have an answer for that," JJ rubbed the back of his neck, standing at the foot of the girl's bed rather awkwardly.

JJ did not have experience with dropping a girl to their front door after a date. Of course, he'd done it all- snuck out at six in the morning, the awkward run in with family members at midnight, he'd even hidden in a dog kennel once- but this, this was new.

When John B fell from the Hawk's Next, everyone thought he was dead for sure. The way his body was angled awkwardly on the floor and the height of the fall, by the laws of physics, gravity and all things Isaac Newton he should've been dead.

After the hospital- Saint Olive's- had cleared John B to be discharged the next day with merely a broken wrist and a mild concussion, the group headed their own ways home. Sarah had decided to stay with John B overnight- said Ward would help clear up some of the DCS situation and since Bianca was still too drunk to drive home, JJ offered.

"I should go," JJ cleared his throat, already backing away from the girl, "Good night, B,"

"Wait," Bianca said softly, holding onto the boy's hand, "Please don't go."

"It's late," JJ sighed softly, "You should get some rest."

"Will you stay here- with me?" The idea of being alone in an empty house right now made her shiver.

"Your parents-"

"Are out till the morning- they won't even know you were here," Bianca mumbled, squeezing the boy's hand slightly.

JJ was hesitant, "I don't know, B," He mumbled, "You're still pretty wasted and I don't think-"

A small pout formed on Bianca's face, "I'm not trying to get in your pants, JJ," He was a good guy and in such an instance, she was kind of mad about it.

JJ glanced down at her- mascara smudged around her eyes and her hair dishevelled– he had never seen Bianca look like this and it scared him. The girl who he thought was this tough, take-no-shit kook look so painfully and utterly vulnerable.

He also didn't want to admit to Bianca that he didn't fancy seeing his dad again and the idea of going home to The Chateau while the Routledge boy was in the hospital didn't sound all too appealing either.

Moonlight streamed through the window panes as he glanced over at the large, king-sized bed sitting right in the middle of her room. JJ ran a hand through his hair, the blond strands splayed across his forehead, "B, are you sure-"
