{ Ariana's POV }
"When will this sleepyhead wake up?" I questioned myself with a smile on my face
I sat down for a few minutes while Courtney and Enzo talked. I just kept staring at her until she woke up. Suddenly she moved her head and slowly opened her eyes. I immediately stood up and grabbed her hand. My eyes filled with tears and she looked up at me with a stupid but absolutely adorable grin
"Who are you?" She asked and my heart dropped
"Huh? W- what?" I asked
"Ha I got you!" She laughed as if she was completely drunk
"You look beautiful" she smiled with her eyes almost closing and an adorable smile on her face
I blushed and looked away. I knew she'd never say that if she didn't just wake up after general anesthesia
"You're super cute when you blush. I wanna pinch your red cheeks" she said and made a pinching movement with her fingers
Can she stop oh my God? I'm going to get a heart attack
"Come heree" she said hoarsely
I shyly walked over to her and she pinched my cheeks causing my whole face to start feeling like it was on fire
"I'm really happy you made it" I whispered into the crook of her neck as I hugged her
"Without you I wouldn't have made it" she said and pulled away
She cupped my cheeks in her hands and leaned in to kiss me but I quickly turned my head around and her lips landed on my cheek
"You don't want to kiss me?"
"I- uhm yes of course but Courtney is here" I whispered
"Hey me and Enzo are getting something to eat" Courtney said
"See they're gone. Now you can kiss me" she said
"Wait I'll get the doctor first" I said
I saw the hurt on her face but she nodded her head. As much as I wanted to kiss her it just wasn't right. When she's fully awake it will be awkward because we both remember the kiss
"Hey Doctor. I just wanted to ask you if you're going to check on Y/n after the surgery?" I asked him
"Yes, I'll be coming now. We had an emergency so it had to wait" he said and I nodded my head
When I walked back into the room I saw her staring at the ceiling
"Hey" I said softly
"Hi"
"Hello Miss Payne. Are you okay?" The Doctor asked her but I think she was still too high
"I am Y/n Payne and I am like my last name says in Payneee" she said causing me to laugh
"How much pain?" He asked her
"I don't know"
"You should sleep" he told her
"No, I'm feeling amazi-" she fell asleep before she could even finish the sentence
