Asahi stayed wide awake, staring at the dark room. The window was the only source of light. He felt at peace, but not enough to let him sleep. Jaehyuk was still between his arms. The longer he stayed with him, the calmer he got. So he thought he just needed to get calm enough to eventually sleep.

Jaehyuk held him tight, his head buried in Asahi's neck. His stable soft breaths never failed to make Asahi's heart flutter. He adjusted his arms' position on Jaehyuk, careful not to wake him up. They were beginning to go numb. Jaehyuk let out a grunt, Asahi's hand travelled to his head, stroking his soft black hair.

A trail of goosebumps went down his body went he felt his fingers on his scalp. Asahi let out a sigh. That dream brought back a memory he desperately wanted to forget. It kept replying. Nightmare after nightmare. He had to try and get used to it at that point. His heart weighed down. He lazily blinked, resting his chin lightly over Jaehyuk's head.

Jaehyuk's hands went up Asahi's back, making him suck in a breath. His eyes widened. Asahi felt relieved he was asleep. If he was awake, he would probably get weirded out at his reaction. Made him remember. What would he possibly do to get over him. It felt impossible. How could he? Jaehyuk's every move made him act foolish.

"Why aren't you asleep?" He heard Jaehyuk ask groggily. His hand stopped stroking his hair, his eyes glanced down at Jaehyuk who was in the same position. The feeling of his breath against his neck made his heart leap.

"You're awake?" Asahi asked quietly. Jaehyuk just sighed.

"What's on your mind?" He asked instead of answering. Asahi looked back forward.

"I had a nightmare." He sighed. Jaehyuk took a movement back to face Asahi. He looked at his half asleep eyes. Jaehyuk laid a hand on Asahi's arm.

"Are you okay?" He asked. Asahi looked down. Jaehyuk knew something was wrong. His hand caressed Asahi's bare arm.

"I don't know...." He muttered, still looking down. Jaehyuk looked him up and down. Asahi knew he was half asleep, he barely knew what was happening around him he just did whatever. So he didn't take anything seriously. He didn't take any of the touch seriously. Or the feeling of belonging. Jaehyuk wasn't aware. He wouldn't do that consciously.

"smile." He said randomly. Asahi's face looked up at him in confusion. Jaehyuk's hair was messy. Even that made his stomach clench.
