Not edited so I could update for you guys :)
~FLASHBACK CONTINUED~
I pile into the dining hall, getting in line behind Marco to get food. They have soup again today, like usual. Whenever there is snow on the ground, they make soup. But I think it's because the budget was cut and soup is easy to feed a hundred or so cadets. Not that I'm complaining, the soup is usually delicious with the bread to dip in.
"Wanna sit with me?" Marco turns his head to the left to look at me.
"Yeah sure," I smile and look around for two empty seats at any table.
The closest one was with Reiner, Armin, and Jean. We take a seat and Armin instantly pushes over silverware and waters to the two of us.
"You feeling better?" Armin questions.
"Yeah, much better," you reassure him.
It's crazy, but I actually feel completely fine now. It's like I never fell down a hill in the first place. I guess the injuries weren't that serious.
"What's tomorrow's schedule like?" Marco asks Armin because he always seems to know.
"Oh Uh... I think we're doing more combat training," Armin swallows a spoon full of soup.
"More?" Reiner grumbles. "I thought we were done with that."
"It's probably to see how far we've come," Jean mutters with his mouth full of food. "I can't wait to have a match with Eren."
"You're evenly matched," I scoff. "I'd like to watch that fight. I also want to see Mikasa and Annie."
"Oh that would be nice," Jean's face softens. "Do you really think they'll fight?"
"It's a possibility," Armin shrugs. "I mean, if they're partnered. I heard the commandant is pairing people up based off their skill sets."
"This is tomorrow?" I ask.
"Yeah, before lunch. The morning is for laundry so we can dry our clothes throughout the day," Armin nods at me and smiles.
"I love laundry day," Reiner smirks and leans back in his chair, his arms folded behind his bed.
"Because guy can see all the girls undergarments?" I give him a pointed look with my eye brows raised.
"Exactly," he laughs. "Right Jean?"
"Right," the two fist bump and I roll my eyes.
"You guys are gross."
I finish up your soup and take my dishes to the washing station, then head to my cabin and grab my journal.
It's still sunny, so I find a good spot under a tree and begin writing about how I feel about tomorrow being my birthday.
I'm positive that Armin won't be telling anyone about it and as far as I know, Eren isn't too fond of people knowing either.
"Back at it again I see," Reiner stands in front of my stretched out legs. "You're always writing."
"I have a lot on my mind," I let out a small laugh through my nose and close the journal so Reiner won't see anything.
"Want to talk about it?" He sits, his back up against the same tree trunk as me.
"With you?" I glance over at him.
"Hey, I give good advice," he gives me a insulted look. "Just give it a shot."
I'm not sure whether I should tell him, but he is right about giving good advice. There's no one I can really talk to about this, because Armin, Mikasa, and Eren have all experienced the same life as me, so it's hard to get an unbiased opinion.
