25) Jealous?

Sophia POV

I woke up bright and early the next day because I was excited to finally work. I went to my closet and didn't know what to wear. What do business people even wear? I tried to find something professional like but I ended up wearing a skirt and a white shirt with a cardigan

I apply light makeup and curled my hair

I heard the doorbell ranged and heard my dad talking to Gal.

I went downstairs and I saw them sitting on the couch

"Thank you for giving this opportunity to Sophia. It's great to give her some real world experience before she leaves for college" Dad kissed Gal in the cheek and I got uncomfortable "Lets go we don't want to be late on the first day" She said and I walked to her car.

Gal drove us to downtown and parked in the parking garage.

"Usually I have my own personal driver but today I want you to get to know them first" She said and I nodded. We walked out and I saw a tall building with a bunch of people coming in and out.

Wow

I followed Gal behind her like a lost puppy. When we walked in Gal was immediately greeted by some workers. She was wearing a suit which made her even more intimidating.

She walked through passed security and continued walking like she own the place or like a boss. Well she technically is.

She let me in and we went inside the elevator. She pressed the button and the elevator was see through so I can see the whole building while I was going up. I was interested in everything. When the door opened I was met with a middle age woman.

"Welcome back Ms Gadot" She said and Gal smiled. She walked to this double door and went inside and the door closed. I'm guessing this is her office. It was spacious and big. There were couches and a big window that has a view of the whole city.

Suddenly the door opened and a woman came in smiling "Gal I missed you! Where you been buddy?!" The woman hugged Gal

"Soph this is Amanda, my personal driver and unfortunately my friend" Gal said and Amanda playfully hit her elbow

"Wow it's nice to meet you, Gal has told me so much about you. You're cuter than I expected I thought you would look mean and intimidating just like Gal" She said causing me to laugh

"Nice to meet you too" I said

We all talked for some time before Amanda had to leave. "Alright should I show you your office?" She asked "I have an office?!" She nodded. She walked me to my office and it's literally next door. It wasn't small, but it wasn't big. It was cozy and comfortable

"I like it thanks" I sat down on the chair

"Alright I have to leave to meet someone in the lobby. Meanwhile I need you to get me some coffee. It's in the lounge room" She said and I rolled my eyes. We both went to our separate ways and I went to the lounge to make her some coffee

On my way back I saw a man holding a bunch of papers but then suddenly tripped causing the papers to fly everywhere. I rushed to him and put the coffee on this table and helped him

"Thank you-"

"Sophia" I finished his sentence

"And no problem...."

"Chris" He smiled

We finished picking up the papers and stood up. We were kinda in the middle of the floor so people were walking in and out staring at us

"I haven't seen you here before?" He asked "Oh I'm new, I'm Ms Gadot assistant" I said "She's back already? Oh man" He got the shivers "Why? What's wrong?" I asked "She's always rude and demanding to us it's scary. Last time she was here she fired someone because they forgot to do something" He said and I nodded

Gal wasn't really nice here...

"Good luck for you she can be scary too like a beast" He said "Im pretty sure I can handle this beast" I said and we both laughed and touched my shoulder which kinda made me uncomfortable because it was out of nowhere

All of the sudden Chris hand was yanked away from my shoulder

We both turned our heads and saw Gal walking to us

"Oh hey"

"Hi" She glared at Chris who was now shaking

"Oh uh here's your coffee" I said and she hold the cup "I-uh-I'll get back to work I'll see you around Sophia" Chris ran away "A word in my office" She looked at me and I gulped

Am I already in trouble in the first day?

"So uh this Chris dude....how you two meet already?" She asked and I rolled my eyes "He dropped some papers and I helped him no big deal" I shrugged my shoulders and she sighs

"What we're you two laughing about?" She asked me and I remembered we were talking about her. "Uh nothing much" I awkwardly smiled "It must be something because he was touching your shoulder" She said "Oh right...thanks for removing his hand away from me. You didn't really have too" I said

"Yes I do. No one is allowed to touch you but me" She said Kinda sternly and walked to her desk

Was she perhaps jealous?

I blushed but I turned around and walked back to my office

I was working for quite some time here with Gal and so far everything was going well. Except for the fact some workers here are staring at me and asking me questions like "You look too young to work here" or some odd questions such as "How old are you? You look fresh" like what does that even mean?!

I was walking to the printer room to get some papers for Gal. I walked in and grabbed the papers but when I walked out a random man stopped me. "Um sorry, excuse me" I said trying to leave but he wouldn't move

"So uh I heard you're new here, how old are you" He said "I believe that's none of your business" I smiled but he sigh and pushed me back "And I believe I asked you a question" He said and I was getting kinda scared

"You're too young to work here. Get out. A person like you shouldn't even be here. You probably cheated your way here. Only hard working people works here and clearly you're not. I bet you're a slut and probably sleeps most of the guys here to work. You're such a-"

I slapped him and I started to cry

"You don't even know me. I don't even know you. So why are you making assumptions!" I said and then he slapped me. I felt his ring scratch me and I tried my best not to cry

"That's what you get" He laughed and I smiled

What's wrong with him?

I ran away and tried to hide my tears and wiped them away. I went to Gals office looking down and put the papers on her desk

"Thanks- what happened! Your cheek is bleeding" She ran over to me and lift my head up so I was looking at her. "Tell me and don't lie" She said sternly. I might've just tell her the truth because I don't want to deal an argument right now

"Some random man slapped me in the printer room" I said and she immediately got angry "I'm going to kill him" She said furiously but I stopped her from walking "No it's fine please" I said

"Fine. I'll just fire him later" She sighs
