I had called mom letting her know I was going to be spending the night at Penny's. She had protested so much but i knew she would be okay once I got home.

Just laying so close to Miller, feeling his warmth was the best thing happening to me that week. Laying against his chest, I could feel his heartbeat and the way his fingers moved through my hair made my tummy constantly flip.

"I can't believe your mom is so cool with everything," I said softly encircling his bare abdomen with my fingers.

"Dude," he chuckled looking at me. John' bed was kind of too small for the two of us, but it meant we had to squeeze quite close so I wasn't complaining at all. "My mom knows how crazy in love I have been with you since middle school. If anything, I bet she is stoked that you're here with me."

I couldn't help but feel my heart leap with joy knowing how much he cared for me. Fuck Darna and what she thought. But it also didn't mean I had forgotten all the shit that had happened.

Noticing the Imagine Dragons poster on his wall, I smiled to myself. "You didn't take it off."

Miller glanced towards his wall in the direction I was looking and then nodded looking back at me. His fingers carressed my bear arm, cuddling me closer to his body. "Ofcourse not. I'm going to take it with me to college too."

My stomach turned realizing we would be separated when we would go off to different colleges.

"Hey, don't look so glum baby," his lips met my forehead. "No matter what happens, I'm not letting you go anymore."

I sighed.

"Can i ask you something, John?" I sat up, not bothered to even hide my bare chest. He had his mouth on there, it wouldn't be a big deal if he could see it now.

"Uh oh," his eyes went big. "You're using my first name. This might not be good."

I shook my head. "Why does Darna hate you so much?"

John's face went white and I could tell his throat must have been running dry. "W-why are you talking about her? Just come back into my arms."

"No," I frowned. "Tell me. If we're going to get back together for real, I need answers."

"If?"

"You know what I mean." I clicked my tongue and he touched my arm rubbing it softly. His face fell as he looked at me and it seemed like he really was struggling to say something.

"You won't like what I tell you, Sila," he said seriously making my heart race anxiously.

"Just tell me."

"Are you sure? But you have to promise you won't leave again."

"I need to know!"

"Promise me, Sila!"

"Fine," I sighed. "I promise. Now tell me."

"After you dumped me that night," John gulped and closed his eyes. "I don't know how to tell you this."

"Welll???"

"Baby, please don't hate," John pleaded pulling me back into his arms but I resisted. What the fuck was he hiding?

"After we broke up," he continued reluctantly, sweat droplets forming on his forehead. "I missed you crazy and I was upset. And then one night, Darna came to see me."

The betrayal. She never told me. She fucking never told me. But i was too numb to even say a word.

"And she yelled at me for hurting you. So, I just angrily yelled back saying that you didn't care about my needs and how much I wanted you."
