Chapter 3

I got up from my seat in class and walked over to Taka. He was talking to Mondo and Chihiro, whom I had just met. "Hi (y/n)! Are you ready for lunch?" I smiled. "Sure, let's go," I replied. I talked with Mondo and Chihiro on the way to lunch. I couldn't help but notice that Mondo's hand kept briefly touching mine.

Taka's POV:

'Why is he doing that?!' Taka thought as Mondo kept getting closer and closer to you on the way to lunch. 'Wait, why do I care? Am I jealous?' The thought had never crossed his mind. 'Do I really have feelings for her?'

Your POV:

I was surprised at how quiet Taka was the whole way to the dining hall. 'I wonder why?' I thought. "Hey, Mondo. Would you come with me to get drinks for the table?" Taka asked. Mondo got up. "Uh, yeah, sure thing bro. What do you guys want?" "I'll have a grape Panta please," I answered. "Just iced tea for me please," said Chihiro. "Alright, let's go, Mondo," Taka said, pulling him away.

I turned to Chihiro. "So what kind of stuff do you program? I've always wanted to learn how to program something." Chihiro smiled excitedly. "I could teach you some time!" I smiled. "That would be great!"

Taka's POV:

Taka and Mondo arrived at the vending machine. "Jesus bro, what's the rush? My arm feels like it's gonna come off because you pulled on me so hard!" Taka hesitated. "What do you think of (y/n)?" Mondo laughed. "What? Do you have a thing for her?!" Taka didn't respond. "Oh my fucking God you do." Taka blushed. "I think I do. And I got really jealous when you were getting close to her." Mondo laughed again. "Alright bro, I'll back off for you. But don't screw this up!" He winked. "Now let's get these drinks."

Your POV:

I had just finished up the conversation I had with Chihiro right as Mondo and Taka returned. I couldn't help but notice the butterflies in my stomach as Taka sat next to me. Our thighs were nearly touching. 'Oh my God am I seriously falling for this hall monitor on the first day? No, he's only a friend.' We all talked about our lives before Hope's Peak, and how we first started to recognize our talents. Soon lunch was over. Only one more class until...detention.

The last class of the day went by as slow as the first, as I could feel the dread inside of me increase by the second. 'Why am I nervous for detention? There's probably going to be a bunch of people there, and it isn't my first ever detention anyways,' I felt my heart drop as the sound of the bell rang throughout the school.

"Well, (y/n). Now you must come with me to detention!" "Bro, do you seriously need to punish her on her first day?" I laughed. "Mondo, it's okay, at least I know Taka a little better now." Mondo chuckled. "Alright then, have fun you two!" Mondo replied as he walked off. ''Have fun you two!' What was that supposed to mean?!'
