There has been serious problems with a few Wattpad accounts. A lot of accounts on this platform have been hacked. I would like you to stay precautious as I have experienced this beforehand and it wasn't good. It led me make a whole new account on Wattpad again.
I am pretty sure you don't wanna loose your followers, chats, friends and everything from this current account of yours, hm? Then please please please do what's mentioned downwards!
Change your :-
•} Password
•} Location (I've seen many of y'all typing out your real location. Don't do this. Just country is alright and it shouldn't be nothing too close. The most close you can get is just your country and that's it.)
•} If there are any social media accounts connected to your Wattpad account then remove it.
If you've been experiencing weird or unusual habits on your account already then do this (what I've mentioned above already) ASAP.
This could happen :-
If you're targeted then announcements that aren't originally from you could be made. Messages could be sent in PMs or MBs. Comments that aren't originally by you could be made on books. If your account is hacked then you won't know it. If there are some weird messages, comments or announcements that weren't by you then change your password. Don't do it multiple times. There's a huge chance of you forgetting it too.
If you've changed your password recently then don't do it again. You're in the safe zone.
Please DON'T PANIC. Whoever the hacker is, they cannot hack your whole device in any way. Don't have any accounts connected for now and you'll be safe. Don't panic.
If your Wattpad is not loading or working as well then it's not LEGITIMATE that your account is hacked! It could just be a usual glitch we face sometimes on Wattpad.
Try to stay cautious. Stay safe and spread.
