Overreacting

We walked back into the LaRusso kitchen and Sam's mom and grandma were making us food "ahh look who's here come in" Sam's grandma smiled "Amanda and I are making dinner" 

"You owe me big time" Sam laughed walking into the room

"How did you do it," Daniel asked amazed, Amanda and Sam's grandma had been fighting when we had left "you know what I don't care I'm hungry" 

"Hey Robby are you hungry do you want to stay for dinner," Daniel asked, Robby looked unsure

"Please" I pleaded he looked at me and laughed 

"Uh, sure thanks," Robby said 

We walked out to the patio and sat down to eat dinner, "Aella tell everyone how Hawk got rabies" Sam laughed 

"What is this now?" Daniel asked chuckling 

"I want to hear this" Amanda said 

"Well Johnny has some crazy ideas as most of you know, he took us to a junkyard to train and he gave us some jerky, then without warning, he called a bunch of wild dogs" Daniel started laughing "Hawk and I were running and  we got to a dead-end, you saw today how bad I am at climbing I mean Robby had to help get me on the tree every single time I fell"

"You were so bad a climbing" He laughed and I shoved him playfully 

"Well we had a chance to get up on the car and Hawk lifted me onto it and then he got bit"

"Oh my god" Amanda gasped 

"Is he ok?" Sam's grandma asked 

"Yes he's ok but he got rabies" I giggled 

"That's Johnny for ya," Daniel said and we all burst out laughing 

"You may be bad at climbing but you also suck at balancing," Robby told me "I didn't fall off once" 

"That is so not true" I yelled and Daniel laughed 

"Come on you had to have fallen off once," Sam told him

"Ok I slipped once but that doesn't count," Robby said 

"Oh that totally counts as falling" Sam laughed 

"Aella tell them about that huge spider you saw" Robby smirked and I gasped "she made a huge deal out of it" 

"I did not that thing was huge" I protested 

"Yeah huge for a worm maybe" Robby retorted and I faked sadness making everyone laugh, we were having so much fun at dinner that none of us noticed Miguel standing by the gate. 

The next day I walked over to my friends at the park "Hey guys" I said cheerfully and Hawk ran up to me giving me a kiss 

"Hi Aella" Demetri said 

"What's wrong with you?" I asked Miguel 

"He's overreacting," Demetri told me 

"I'm not overreacting, dude I know what I saw" 

"Alright so you saw her at dinner with some chub," Hawk said kicking Bert in the face "it's probably just her brother or something" 

"Are we talking about Sam?" I cut in and Hawk nodded "oh you must be talking about Robby Keene, he's really nice but they only met today," I told Miguel who looked up 

"But I've been texting and calling her all day" he whined 

"So, Sam is not cheating on you," I told him "she would never do that" Demetri and Hawk rolled their eyes I knew that they weren't huge fans of Robby. 

"That little bitch" Aisha spat  "you know that video I posted of me breaking that board, look what Yasmin commented" I looked at the phone 

"Impressive can't believe the belt made it around your waist"

I rolled my eyes and took out my own phone which had a text from a number I knew all too well: did you miss me? I know where you are and I'll see you soon I froze, I was so scared, was he watching me right now? I couldn't move or speak I was just so scared 

"Hey are you alright?" Hawk asked pulling me against his chest 

"Y-yeah I think so" I said cuddling into him 

"Ok well we are going to crash Yasmin's party at the canyon but tell me if something is wrong princess"

I nodded "can we talk privately" I asked and he nodded pulling me over to a tree "it's nate again, he just texted me and I'm so scared I know that I do karate and everything but he's just so strong"

"Hey, look at me" Hawk lifted my chin "nothing will happen to you as long as you are with me, if I ever see this guy he will learn his lesson"

I gave him a small smile and buried my head into his chest, I did feel safe in his arms, I knew Hawk would never do anything that made me uncomfortable.
