She's been known as a nobody,
an outcast, a loner.
Never would she have thought
for one moment
she would be known as a somebody,
even if the feeling is temporary.

A few days pass, and Wheein finds herself sitting slightly farther away from the tree, seeing that Hyejin had claimed a rightful and comfortable position𑁋laying on the grass with limbs sprawled across the ground, a few cherry blossom leaves fluttering down to the ground, chest heavily heaving up and down with eyes closed. Wheein wasn't that far away, however criss-crossed in the grass with her sketchbook in hand and pencil doodling across the page once more.

She hated to admit it, but every time she would draw, she felt like she was a young kid again𑁋as if nothing could stop her, that the whole world was just entirely her own palette and her own imagination, and that she could do whatever she wanted with it. Her mother had always told her to make use of everything around her for art, whether it would be the thinnest, and most deformed twig on the ground, the beauty of a single cloud in the sky, or even something just as a simple as a leaf. That is something that Wheein had kept in her mind throughout the years; she knew she wouldn't ever forget her mother's words.

The last few days have been rough, as one could say, a considerable distance between Hyejin and Wheein formed. It wasn't the type of distance that drifted people apart from each other, it was the type of distance that dragged Wheein closer, but Hyejin farther each time. And ever since Wheein had confessed to herself and Hyoyeon that there was some unusual form of feelings she had towards the girl, the distance had ensued. Wheein didn't know what to do𑁋should she try to get more closer to her, or be farther in order to deal with her conflict of feelings?

Hyejin, from the looks of it, never seemed to notice the distance. Or she had, and it just wasn't attempted to be acknowledged. The girl had been more quieter as time passed by ever since her mother had practically left the country𑁋Hyejin had told her about it not that long ago, and Wheein was still as confused and slightly skeptical as ever about it. Hyejin's mother didn't slither a good feeling down her spine at all.

Yet each day was almost the same: they would walk together to school, sit next to each other in class, and sit by the cherry blossom tree at the end. However now, Hyejin would make sure to walk with Wheein home before heading back to her own home alone. And what could Hyejin possibly be doing staying at her own home alone? Wheein didn't know for sure.

It felt like a routine at this point, but neither girl seemed to mind. Whether this so-called 'distance' was a hassle for Wheein, she still had the opportunity during the day to spend time with Hyejin, and that's all she could ask for. Things didn't seem to be changing anytime soon, but that was okay. The cherry blossom tree in the school would be a place close to Wheein's heart𑁋it was where she had interacted with Hyejin for the first time, the first time she met eyes with her, the first time her heart had raced in a different way.
