I won't get back up
though they all tell me I can't give up.
But I gave it all up for your life
yet you never cared about mine.
I loved you in a way
you will never know.
You never showed any affection
with me but I knew
you were running around with some guy.
Sad seeming as I gave up everything
for you and me.
I thought we were to take on the world together
You and I against them all
knowing they know nothing at all
about what we were about.
But now I'm watching the rain fall
And I'm slipping down with the droplets
being forgotten once more
while he's all over you.
