Admittedly, getting dropped off at school by motorcycle did wonders for Jungkook's popularity. Not that he was necessarily lacking in that regard, but girls and guys alike had taken a sudden interest in his latest bodyguard.

Half wanted to know how fast the bike went, while the others wondered what Jungkook was holding on to when riding. At that, the teenager almost replied "his waist, of course", but didn't because what else could he have gripped to keep steady?

Hand grabs.

Of course. Why didn't Jungkook know of their existence? He decided to blame the movies for only portraying hugging riders. And blame Taehyung as well because, come on, he could have told him-

When he brought it up, after school, Taehyung was quick to apologize. "I'm sorry. It was my understanding you were more comfortable that way." He then showed him where the grips were located.

"Thanks," Jungkook murmured before putting his helmet on. The ride home took notably longer and the teenager pinned it on Taehyung being overly cautious since the hand grabs made him sit straighter on the bike.

Maybe he should've ignored the girls' comments and stuck to waist-holding. Riding a slow bike wasn't exactly exhilarating.

He was already walking through the gates when he turned around, remembering something. "My friends and I are going to the movies this weekend."

Taehyung nodded. "Understood. What time is the screening?"

"Around 1 PM I think. We were planning on having lunch beforehand."

"What cinema?"

"COEX Megabox." Jungkook was expecting Taehyung to protest because the theatre was all the way across the city, in the busy Gangnam District which was always crowded. Even more so on Saturdays.

But after blinking a few times, Taehyung simply said, "I'll have the bike ready at 10 AM."

How compliant of him, Jungkook thought. Then he remembered the guy was probably being paid a lot of money for his services and was likely in no position to voice any objections. "Great."

What he did not expect, however, was Taehyung enquiring about the film. "What is it called?"

"It's, uh, that war movie that just came out."

The man flickered an eyelid. "You mean 'The Last Full Measure'?"

Wow. Was Taehyung a film buff? "Yeah. I think that's the one."

"I'm afraid I can't let you watch it."

"What?"

"It's only suitable for those aged 15 or over."

"How-"

Taehyung pulled his cellphone out and soon found the relevant information, lifting the screen so the boy could confirm for himself.

Yep. That freedom thing wasn't quite working out just yet for Jungkook who couldn't help but find it a little suspicious Taehyung was so well informed about the latest releases. "How did you know? About the rating I mean?"

Taehyung dismissed the question with a shrug. "So, is there another film you'd like to go see?"

"Oh come on, I can't not watch it while all my friends will!"

"If your friends are 13 like you, then they shouldn't see it either."

Jungkook shook his head in disbelief, studying Taehyung's face to detect the sarcasm. To his surprise, there was none. "You're very-" he paused, searching for the right word. "Righteous."

The man lifted a brow. "Thank you?"

That's when Jungkook realized the guy was totally immune to things such as wryness, irony and the like. A sigh escaped his lips. "Okay. I get it that you're worried about losing your job over this so I'll make it easy for you. No one has to know what movie I went to see on Saturday."

"But I would know."

"Yes, but why would you care? You're supposed to protect me from bodily harm only."

Taehyung froze for a second before replying, "negative. I'm supposed to keep you safe from all harm."

Ugh. This man's sense of duty was turning overbearing. "A movie is not going to do much harm, you know."

"If you really want to see it that much, I suggest you wait another two years."

Once again, the boy was taken aback by the total absence of mockery in Taehyung's tone. Which could only mean one thing: the guy was being dead serious. "Are you fucking kidding me?"

"Are you allowed to swear?"

"Oh for fuck's sake, let me live a little!"

There was a pause which only contributed to Jungkook's rising exasperation as the man standing in front of him was very good at displaying little to no emotions whatsoever. And then, three words: "you're thirteen".

"So?"

"In terms of human life expectancy, you still have plenty of time to 'live a little'."

"What the fu-"

"Please stop cursing."

To say Jungkook was aggravated by their present conversation would be an understatement. "Why the hell should I listen to you?"

"It is not suitable for a thirteen-year old to use profanity."

"Profa-" the boy couldn't help but scoff. "I don't know how my father recruited you, but keep this up and I'll make sure we replace you quickly."

Holding the boy's gaze, Taehyung said in a neutral voice, "impossible. I'm irreplaceable."
