☆Chapter 12☆

~《Error's POV》~

I   h e a r d   a   t w i g   s n a p .

'This is a genocide timeline, no one should be here.' I thought to myself. I began to panic slightly, causing myself to glitch a bit. 

I was looking around cautiously. 'Okay, it's either Nightmare, Ink, or Geno.' I thought to myself, which calmed my glitches down. 

Paperjam must have noticed my expression, because he asked me, "Papa, are you okay?" My attention snapped back to him. "Y-yEa kiDdo... I'm FiNe."

"Oh, okay." He said, as he continued trying to make a lasting creation. I turned my attention and focus to behind me. Trying to see if I could find what made the stick snap.

I heard a scream.

I heard Paperjam scream.

My attention once again snapped back to PJ, as I jumped up in surprise. My eye sockets widened in fear.

He was standing there. An axe held to his throat. The Sans holding said axe behind him.

He looks a lot like Horror, but with a red patch on the opposite side of the hole in his head. [Can you guess who? If not I'll tell who in the next chapter]

I can't explain the look of fear on PJ's face. "Wh0 aRe yoU!? ANd whAT do yoU waNT!?" I yelled.

He just laughed, slowly cutting into PJ's neck. I saw a tear in his[PJ] eye. "STOP!" I yelled again. 

I put my hands behind my back, silently letting my strings go to the ground. Luckily, this unknown Sans didn't notice them, neither did Paperjam, as they silently went towards them. 

Once they we close enough, I pulled the axe away from PJ, and pulled him over to me.

I looked to see if he was alright, his throat is bleeding, badly. I have to do something, but that Sans is still here.

Suddenly Horror's doppelganger charged towards us. I quickly moved out of the way, but he caught my coat.

I quickly but gently placed PJ down as he had passed out, and got into a fighting stance. 

I pulled my strings from my eye sockets, and began trying to catch him. Slowly we moved away from PJ. I occasionally had to dodge, but not to often. 

After a few minutes of dodging and trying to catch him, I did it. I then used my strings to tie him to a tree.

Then I ran towards Paperjam, He hasn't bled too much, but he's still bleeding.

I picked him up and ran into the forest. I used my strings to climb up one of the trees. I got us into a stable tree, and position.

I ripped of a bit of my scarf and used it as bandages, it was hard to keep it in place, so I used some strings to tie it in place. 'This should help until I get you to Sci.'

The blood was slowing down now, but never stopping. 'Now I just need to call Nightmare to pick us u-' I stopped when I realised I no longer had my phone.

I began to panic again, I need to restore some magic before I can teleport or make a portal, and It wont take long for him to get out and find us. 

'Did I drop it?' I asked myself as I began figuring out a way to contact Nightmare. 'That's right! I left it on the kitchen counter! I forgot to grab it before leaving.' I concluded.

At least that Sans doesn't have it. 'Wait, this timeline should have a few phones lying around! it is a genocide route!' I realised. [No it isn't a True Genocide, just a Genocide]

I gently picked up Jammy, careful not to injure him more. I looked around to see Horror's doppelganger walking around under us, he hasn't looked in any of the trees.

I very quietly began moving through the trees towards Snowdin town. Not a single sound could be heard from my movements.

I continued looking down to where Doppelganger is to see if he's seen/following us.

Once in Snowdin, I ran to where River Person's boat is. I quickly hopped on and said

"No tIMe To taLk, PLease tAKe uS to HotLAnd." They looked at us and saw my injured son. They didn't say anything and began moving, quickly.

Once we got there, I quickly got off and began running towards Judgement Hall. Calling my thanks behind me.

It took a while, but not too long. 'The Horror doppelganger should not be able to catch up. He's too far back' I thought to reassure myself. 

After a few minutes of running, my legs were getting really tired, I saw very few monsters as I ran. But none of them had any phones on them, so I continued.

I saw the entrance to the hall, and ran even faster. 'Finally, I got here.' I stumbled forward to Echo's jacket.

Placing Jammy carefully down next to me. I searched his pockets until I found his phone. 

I opened the phone and tried opening the "phone" app from the screen, but it wasn't working.

'Now I have to guess the password! Great!' I thought to myself. I began putting everything that came to my mind, until.. 

'Incorrect password, try again in 30 seconds'

So I moved us to behind a pillar as we waited. It felt like HOURS..

'30, 29, 28, 27, 26, 25, 24, 23, 22, 21, 20, 19, 18, 17, 16, 15, 14, 13, 12, 11, 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1.' I counted in my head, smiling when it finished.

I tried three more passwords, then I tried 'DontForget' It unlocked. I was so happy.

I don't have much time so I opened the phone app. I quickly put in Night's number, '(***) ***-****' then pressed call. 

"Echo?" He asked. "NigHTMare! I neEd yOu to cOMe gET Us riGHt noW!" I whisper-yelled.

"Error!? I was so worried! You left your phone here and you two have been gone all night!" He yelled.

"Which AU, timeline, and where?" He added, "EchOTaLe, GenOCiDE #0176, Judgement Hall.." I whispered, "PleAse HUrrY..." I continued. The call ended.

I saw a portal open. Nightmare walked out, I got up, picking up Paperjam as I did.

I ran to him grabbing his arm and running through the portal. It closed behind us.
