Chapter 33: Regret

Third Person POV 

Ozpin sat in his office as he worked on papers. 

Ozpin: I wonder if he is going to agree with it. 
He said to himself as he continued to work on papers, scanning through them. 

???: Ozpin. 
He heard a familiar voice before looking to see Alyssa. 

Ozpin: Ms L/N. What a pleasant surprise. 
He said as he looked at her. 

Alyssa: So my son is getting the surgery. 
She said as she glared at him. 

Ozpin: Yes ma'am.

Alyssa: And you didn't bother talking to me about this. 
She said with hints of anger. 

Ozpin: Ms L/N. I'm sure you've understand the condition your son in. 
He said as he placed the papers down on his desk. 

Alyssa: My son is disabled from that mission you've sent him on with the wrong information. 
She growls in anger. 

Ozpin: An unfortunate day I know. 
He said with hints of regret. 

Alyssa: Along with those three children you've got killed because of your misinformation. 

Ozpin: Yes... 

Alyssa: So what makes you think I should trust you with this operation you're about to commit my son into. 
She said with anger as she crossed her arms. 

Ozpin sighs before getting up and walking to the window. 

Alyssa: Well? 

Ozpin: I just know that your son shouldn't pay for my foolish mistakes. Your right, Y/N is like this because of the misinformation I gave to his team. The reason why his team is dead. The reason why their families are mourning. 

To Y/N 

Y/N sat in his room as he looked at a photo. A photo of his former teammates as they smiled. 

Y/N: What should I do. 
He said to himself as he looked at the photo. 

Y/N: Should I go through with the surgery? If I do, there is a 30 percent that  I won't walk out of that room. And if I do, I'll be able to walk 
He said to himself. 

KNOCK KNOCK 

Y/N: Who is it? 

???: It's Blake. 

Y/N: The door's unlocked. 
He said as the door creaked open. 

Blake: Hey. How are you feeling? 
She asked as she stood by him. 

Y/N: I don't know. 
He said to her. 

Blake: What do you mean? 
She asked as she knelt in front of him. 

Y/N: Ozpin told me about the surgery. 
He said as he looked at her. 

Blake: Oh... 

Y/N: I just don't know if I should go through with it. 
He said as he laid his head on her shoulder. 

Blake: Y/N....
She said as she slowly rubbed the back of his head. 

Y/N: I just don't know if I should go through with it. A 30 percent chance of me not making it out. 
He said to her. 

Y/N: I don't know if I should go through with it or not. What should I do Blake? 
He asked as a tear ran down his cheek. 

Blake: Y/N...I-I think you should go through with the surgery. 
She told him honestly. 

Y/N: Y-You should I should? 

Blake: Y/N...it hurts seeing you like this. Bound to a wheelchair. Can't go anywhere  
She said as she continued to rub his head. 

Y/N: I think I will do it. I think I will get the surgery.
