"Oh, Sooooooophie!" Biana appeared in the doorway.

Sophie looked up from her homework.
"How did you get here?" Sophie's brows furrowed.

"Forkle brought me."

She pushed the pages into her bag, as Biana plopped onto her bed. Sophie looked dubiously at the very full bag in Biana's lap.

"What is that?" She asked, terror in her voice from the crazed glint in her friend's eyes.

Biana smiled gleefully, "Only the best thing ever! So, I was thinking gold eye shadow, gold heels, a red dress—"

"Whoa, hold up. What are you talking about?"

Biana bounced up and down. "The dance of course!" She continued, "I figured us girls could all get ready together, either here, or at my place—"

"What dance?" Sophie asked. She had understood maybe half of what Biana had said.

Okay, more like a quarter of it.

Biana gasped. "The Foxfire dance! Did you not hear the announcements yesterday?"

Sophie vaguely remembered hearing something about a dance. "Wasn't that for Level 5 on up?"

Biana stared at her. "We are Level 5."

Sophie blinked.

Biana blinked.

Sophie blinked again. "...I'm an idiot," She groaned.

Biana stood up, starting to grin. "I mean..."

Sophie chucked a pillow at her face.

A moment later, it came flying back, and Biana disappeared, but a pillow rose from Sophie's bed, and randomly slammed into her.

"Oh, this is war, Biana," Sophie warned, standing up.

Her friend reappeared, blinking in and out as they threw pillows at each other, giggling loudly.

As another pillow lifted from her bed, and Sophie reached for one.

Unfortunately, there were none.

"Peace!" Sophie covered her face, and yelled, "I surrender!"

Biana snorted, and reappeared. "You lose."

"I forfeited," Sophie argued.

"Mhmm." Biana glanced at a mirror, straightening her lavender tunic, and smoothed her hair. "Okay, we're going shopping. Lihn said she'd be over in like ten minutes. Maruca and Marella said that they would meet us there."

"I'm not going." Sophie said. "And how is Lihn getting here?"

Biana frowned. "Please, Sophie! I don't want to be the only one there." She didn't answer her question.

"Lihn, Maruca, and Marella will all be there," Sophie reminded her.

"Well, yeah, but they're not my best friend!"

Sophie arched an eyebrow at her. Biana pouted, giving her sad eyes.

"Please? I just want to hang out with my best friend."

Sophie groaned again. "Fine. But I'm not dancing."

"We'll see," Biana grinned.

A knock came from outside the door. They both glanced over to Lihn.

"Are you ready?" She said with a big smile.

"What's got you all smiley?" Biana asked.

If it was possible, her smile got bigger.
