To say the wedding wasn't commencing as per planned was an understatement. The guest swarmed in, the food were on its way, the altar decorated with the flowers of Altheas liking, the priest booked and the bride- hopefully not second guessing upon the choices she made.

Everything moved as planned. Time seem to decline the mercy I want it to bestow. Under the room granted I sat with thoughts that puzzled me viciously.

Scientifically it was impossible for time to speed up so fast.

Digesting became a nuisance and breathing was a chore. Does this feeling has a name to it?

"Nervous. You are freaking your ass out"

Wasn't anticipating an input from Chris. But he was the best man here who married my sister two weeks ago in a hushed ceremony with just the closest members at a hands reach if anything was to go wrong, there wasn't a hoard that could make it harder for one to forget that it's their own wedding.

Since when did I developed a social anxiety?

"You are worried about Althea. She is not going anywhere"

Through the mirror I glared at Chris who smirked uselessly at me. He indeed had answered what I had in mind- it must terrify me. But i simply decided to stay as far away from his scrutinising abatement for some peaceful years. I might even start to grow my own farming land and keep Althea and I safe from how penetrating science has become. Psychologically I don't think I will ever recover from how conclusively deep Ji hyun and Christopher had me shed. It was a necessity to -put me right.
