"OY! What are doing boy?" A booming voice broke through the quiet peacefulness, a moment broken too soon.

You both sat up quickly and saw the man that beckoned your mother into the other room. His hair was messed and the tie around his neck was untied with a few buttons of his shirt undone.

Drunk. Horribly Drunk. At least he didn't look as bad as your father.

He looked at you and then back at Ryan.

A disgusting smirk crossed his face. "Been getting busy already? Thought you would wait three years before kissing any girl in this town, much less doing that." You felt your face flush red and you stepped forward to hit him, but Ryan held you back. "What do you want Duncan?" Ryan said slowly, keeping his voice steady.

Duncan. Even his name was repulsive. (sorry to anyone named duncan, I had to choose a random name)

"Guess what?" He said gleefully, "I proposed to that fat lump of your mother so she can smother me in money!" Ryan tensed behind you, "Shut up you drunk oaf, you didn't give her shit. You barely have any money to buy a good ring."

"But the best part?" he said ignoring Ryan, "I gave her my dead wife's old ring. Didn't have to spend a single cent."

Ryan hit him.

The satisfying smack seemed to echo across the empty field, carried by the wind. Duncan looked up with blazing eyes and took his large hand and wrapped it around Ryan's neck. He began to slowly choke him, acting on emotion. In his drunkenness he didn't even realise he was killing Ryan.

"Stop! Let go of him!" You ran toward the large man and tried to hit him, but he pushed you down into the dirt and kicked you away.

As the pain throbed across your back and your dress was smudged with dirt. That was the last straw. You didn't know what was going through you, but whatever it was it wanted to rip Duncan to shreds. You held out your hands and they glowed bright red.

Duncan froze and dropped Ryan. He froze and his body tensed up and his hands went to his throat. You began to slowly choke him, giving him a taste of his own medicine. A lovely burst of joy burst through you, and you watched as fear clouded his eyes. He deserved this.

He deserved this pain.

HE DESERVED THIS.

HE-

"(Y/N), stop." Ryan whispered with a croaky voice. He touched your shoulder and you felt the anger drain away from you. You stared in disgust and fear of yourself at the crumpled man on the floor.

All of a sudden you could sense them. You could sense the pain of Duncans crumpled body, alive unfortunately. You could sense the soreness of Ryan's throat and other healing bruises.

What the hell is going on with me? Why can I sense this?

Ryan's mother ran out of the house and gasped in shock at Duncan's crumbled body. "Darling? Are you alright? Should I go get the medic?" She helped him stand up and followed his glaring eyes to you. "(Y/N)? What are you doing here sweetheart?"

"Don't Sweetheart her Martha. She-, This-, IT TRIED TO KILL ME." Duncan stuttered out his slurred words. Ryan's mother looked at you and then at Duncan. "Darling," she said softly, "I think you're drunk."

"I did." You said.

Ryan stared at you and so did his mother. There was no going back now.

"He tried to strangle Ryan to death, so I raised my hands and t-they began to glow. I d-don't know what's going on." you stuttered. Ryan's mother stepped away from Duncan. She noticed the hand mark on Ryan's neck. "Darling it's okay, you can just say that Duncan tried to hurt Ryan. There's no need to drag yourself into this."

"BUT SHE'S A WITCH MARTHA. I'M TELLING YOU A WITCH." Duncan unhelpfully yelled.

Ryan's mother stepped towards you and looked at you as you found your gaze on the ground. She touched your hands gently, but you recoiled from her touch.

"No, Look." You held up your hands to Ryan's neck and a soft yellow glow wrapped your hands as you healed his neck. Slowly the red mark disappeared and you felt the sore pain erupt on your neck.

His pain became yours.

Ryan's mother stared at you. "A Witch... " she whispered fearfully. She tried to grab Ryan's hand and pull him away but he resisted. "Mother! She healed me! She's a good witch!" Ryan said as his mother tried to drag him away from you. "She's bewitched you into loving her!"

Ryan shook his head and tore his hand away from her. "You'll call the mayor and tell him about her, She'll die!"

"YEAH! Burn that bitch at a stake!" Duncan yelled from behind you all.

"Don't think of me as a savage Ryan, I would never do that. I just don't want you near her." She wasn't lying. Her voice was steady and sure and didn't falter.

"Wait." You said quietly. Ryan's mother stopped. "Where did Duncan go?" The drunk man was nowhere to be seen. You whipped your head towards the road and saw him running in zig-zags towards the town hall.

Shit
