The hospital doors burst open as I rush through them, straight past the reception desk and in the direction my twin brother -Issac- is being wheeled.
"Slow down Nora!" My mother shouts from behind me.
I keep chasing after my brother when a doctor stops me.
"I'm sorry but you can't proceed past this point" he says, looking at me with sympathy as he closes the door in my face.
I look around the hospital, at the doctors rushing in every direction.
A group of surgeons rush down the corridor, pilling into Issac's room.
I stumble backwards and land in a chair, I can't keep the tears from my eyes. They roll down my face in continuous waves.
I don't know when my best friend, Jess arrives - but she's sitting next to me now, running a soothing hand up and down my back.
"It's ok Nora" she says "people get pushed off bridges and survive all the time. He's going to make it through this"
I turn to look at her, my vision so blurry I can hardly make her out. I'm about to respond when a male doctor steps out of Isaac's room.
Me and Jess rush to our feet, the doctor doesn't have to tell me. The look on his face says it all.
Issac's dead.
