Harry turns over on his side while rubbing his eyes. He smiles lightly, for reasons he cannot explain. He can't comprehend why his brain is so happy all of a sudden, but it seemed like for the past few days, that Harry was never happy.

Harry rubs his eyes roughly for a few seconds, trying to gently walk out of sleep mode. He then swings his legs over his bed, and fumbles his hands around the dresser for his round glasses. He eventually, after several attempts, grasps them, and pushes them onto his face. Harry turns his head outside, and sees that it is very late into the morning. The sun is well up, high into the sky, and Harry is ashamed to say that it is nearly eleven o' clock.

He cracks his back before standing up, and stretching. This is the first time in a long time that Harry felt like he had a good nights rest. He wondered if Hermione had anything to do with it, but he had a strong feeling that she didn't.

Harry quickly walks to the bathroom where he showers, brushes his teeth, gets dressed, and brushes his hair. He is usually very quick at this sorts of things, but he was trying to think so much about what happened in his dream that each activity was delayed a few minutes.

Once Harry was fresh, and there was nothing more he could do, he decided to go downstairs.

As soon as his feet touched the lowest floor, he could smell food. He could smell pancakes, bacon, oranges...of the list could go on and on. His mouth watered as he got closer to the kitchen, where Hermione was slaving away at her work, cooking, washing dishes, cleaning, reading, somehow all at he same time. Hermione was using very little magic while doing all of this, much to Harry's surprise. Ron was at the dinner table, stuffing his face with eggs, while reading the Daily Prophet.

Harry ever so quietly, with baby steps, snuck up behind Hermione, and with the lightest touch, patted her on her waist. She jumped slightly, but didn't have to move to tell that it was Harry.

"Morning," Hermione said cheerfully, while flipping a pancake and laying it on a plate.

"I didn't know you could cook." Harry said smiling, accepting the plate, and later thanking her.

"Quite frankly, I can't. But you boys eat anything. Don't you?" Hermione had a clever grin played on her face, and laughed slightly at the end of her joke.

"Do not!" Ron huffed, spitting out some eggs.

"Ronald, don't talk with your mouth full!" Hermione scolded. "I should say, you children eat anything!"

"Oi! I didn't do anything!" Harry shrieked defensively.

"Yet." Hermione says quietly, walking towards him. "You haven't done anything, yet."

Harry frowned, but by the look on Hermione's face, couldn't help but smiled. What? Hermione just made Harry so happy.

"Oh and Harry?" Hermione said going back to her work.

"Yes, Mione?" Harry said taking the first bite of his pancake. It was surprisingly really good, but everything else tasted really bad so Harry only stuffed his face with the pancake.

"You woke up a bit jolly, have a nice rest?" Hermione said, as if she was testing Harry. Ron stopped chewing loudly, as he was paying well attention.

"Yeah. Excellent rest."

"That's good." Hermione leaned on the counter and her eyes grazed around the room softly. She looked at Ron, who gave a scold look to Harry. She wanted to tell him something, he could tell. "Just out of curiosity," she laughed falsely. "What do you remember."

Harry stopped eating and looked up at Hermione, who clearly wanted a definite answer.

"Um... I don't remember much to be honest. I remember happiness, and joy, and perhaps a bit of love....."

Hermione nodded and then looked down. Whatever she wanted to tell Harry was torturing her, because her mind was in major countermand.

Harry, noticing this, dropped his fork onto his plate and slowly walked over to Hermione. He trapped her with his body so that she could get away. His body was extremely close to hers, danger close to a pair who were just friends....

"What's wrong?"

Hermione was trying not to look in Harry's eyes, but he locked his fingers under her chin and pulled up so she was forced to look at him. Hermione sighed, knowing that there was no way out.

"Harry, you were having a nightmare. A really bad one. You wouldn't wake up. No matter how hard Ron and I tried, you wouldn't budge. So, I guess you could say I got worried-"

"I guess? Hermione was crying so hard, I'm surprised the house didn't flood." Ron laughed, pleased with his arrogance.

"Enough, Ron!" Hermione yelled, then looked back to Harry who was deep into the story. "Okay, so I didn't know what to do. Then I thought of a fairy tale, you know how when Sleeping Beauty was in the trance, the prince kissed her,"

"Yeah." Harry replied, his voice shaky.

"Well, I thought it might work with you, so I..kissed you." Hermione spat out, gasping after each word.

"You..did?" Harry said, expressionless.

"Yeah," Hermione's voice was timid, for she thought Harry would be furious.

"Really? Was it...was it like this?" Harry said, kissing Hermione lightly on the lips. The kiss was meaningless, and almost chaste. Harry pulled away in seconds, and laughed at Hermione's beaming expression.

"No, it was more passionate. Like this," Hermione grinned before pushing her lips onto Harry's. They had the same feeling. Soft, loving, oh how Harry wished he could feel this every day. Harry felt like he had been kissing Hermione for a very long time, and opened his eyes for a few seconds to see that Ron had left to give them space. He closed them immediately and continued to kiss the girl of his dreams. Suddenly, Hermione did something Harry thought that she wouldn't do. She pushed her tongue into Harry's mouth, and licked all around, her tongue savagely roaming. After many moments, Hermione pulled away, very pleased with her move.

"It was like that,"

Harry licked his lips, satisfied as well. "Well, Miss Hermione Granger, I liked that a lot. Maybe we should do it again?"

Hermione shrugged. "Are you asking me to-"

"Hermione! Harry! Come look at this!" The two heard Ron scream from upstairs, and were annoyed from the start.

"Better go see what that was."

Harry didn't know what just happened. He knows he just kissed Hermione, but he didn't know what that meant for them. Are they together? Or is everything they ever had, never to be the same?
