Chapter 25

Hello everyone,

Okay just to clarify what basically happened in the previous chapter, Xavier explained the reason behind him and Axarii still being married and the people who's behind it (except for that one mysterious person).

As all of you now know, Xavier was the guy Henry was talking about that had a one-night stand with his wife. This happened two years before Axarii and Xavier met. Henry wants to get close to Axarii only because Xavier cares about her so much, he blames Xavier for his wife's death. (He's looking for revenge.)

The child that Xavier and Axarii were talking about DOES NOT belong to Xavier. Bella is Henry and his late wife's child, not Xavier's. As of right now he only has two children which you should already know. Reyna and everyone's favorite, Cole.

There is a one year difference between Orabella (Henry's daughter) and the twins.

Axarii's POV

"So what did you have to show me?" I asked him when we made it to one of the rooms upstairs. He brought us to what looked to be his room.

I watched as he walked in one of the corners searching for something in the upper shelf. After a few moments he came back with a photo album in his hand.

"Here's pictures of Delilah and some other stuff I recently found... I wasn't sure if you wanted to see them or not." He explained after handing it to me. When I first opened the album I couldn't help but laugh when I saw a picture of what looked to be him and Xavier taking a bubble bath together.

The more I flipped through the pages while Maddox told the stories behind most of them I couldn't help but laugh, him doing the same. After a few moments we then got to his sister Ivory's pictures, then Delilah.

I couldn't help but look at them in awe as I saw how tiny she was. She reminded me so much of Reyna when she was born.

"She's so adorable." I said as I looked them over once more. After we finished looking at all of the photos I handed the album back to Maddox, looking at him to see him with a sad expression.

"What's wrong?"

"Nothing, I was just thinking about Delilah's mother. I can't help but think about her when she looks so much like her, it hurts to even look at her sometimes... does that make me a bad father to say that?" He asked me, setting the book aside.

I placed a hand on his shoulder as a sign of comfort, "Of course not. You've been watching over her this entire time, you're a great father Maddox. If you don't mind me asking... what happened with her mom?" When I asked this a small sigh came from him before he looked back at me.

"Delilah wasn't a mistake. I would never see her as that. I've always thought about having a child but I was too afraid that I'd never be ready for that kind of responsibility. That was until my girlfriend, Charlotte told me that she was pregnant.

When I first found out I was going to be a father the first thing that popped into my mind was to run away, then I slapped myself for even thinking of such a thing. When I told my parents that we had to run a DNA test, to make sure the baby was actually mine. As time went on I began to get attached to the child. Charlotte was also excited about having a baby. My mother was proud to finally be a grandmother but she wasn't too fond of who the mother was, her and Charlotte could never get along for some reason.
