𝐂𝐇𝐀𝐏𝐓𝐄𝐑 𝐓𝐇𝐈𝐑𝐓𝐘 𝐍𝐈𝐍𝐄

Nari walked in through the doors, yawning as she rubbed her eyes, trying to rid of the tiredness she felt. She was walking at her own pace, not caring if she was late or not, trying to enjoy the last few minutes before school starts.

The calm before the storm.

Taking in a deep breath, the girl wiped some loose strands of hair out of her face. She greeted some passing students, her signature smile on display as always. She didn't even mind the fact that all of them would just continue walking without greeting back.

However, she did find it odd when she noticed that she received weird looks from random kids. Looking at one girl on the other side of the hallway, she immediately looked away, whispering something to her friend beside her.

The pink head scrunched her nose, an anxious feeling washing over her. She kept walking, trying her best to ignore the stares.

She saw her friends hanging around Sua's locker, which was close to her own. A smile made its way to her face as she approached the group.

Jisung was the first to notice her. He nudged Sua, pointing to Nari. Sua followed where he was directing, her eyes falling on the pink haired girl. Nari's smile instantly dropped when she saw the look on Sua's face.

Sua hesitantly walked over to Nari. The latter gulped, trying to comprehend the situation. Did she do something wrong? Why was everyone looking at her like that?

"Hey, Nari." Sua said, her tone different from usual.

"Hi... Is something wrong?" She nervously asked, trying her best to seem unbothered.

Sua took a look back at Chenle, Minju and Jisung still standing in the same spot. Nari watched, confused as Sua and Chenle communicated with their eyes.

However that wasn't what was bothering her. It was the fact that Minju hadn't made eye contact with her once in the time she's been standing there. Nari couldn't help but feel like something bad happened and that she was the cause of it.

Sua sharply inhaled, turning back to face the girl. "Look, we're not mad or anything but there's something you need to see." Sua said, pulling out her phone.

She scrolled for a few seconds, until she tapped on a file handing the phone over to Nari. She took the device, eyes searching Sua's face to get any clues of what could've happened.

Giving up, the girl looked down at the screen. It was a video. Seeing the background of the video, Nari's eyes widened. It couldn't be what she thought, right?

She pressed the play button, breath hitching as soon as the video started. It was a video of Nari and Renjun kissing on Friday night. "Why do you have this? No, how do have this?" Nari asked, not wanting to watch further.

"Everyone's seen it, Nari." Chenle finally spoke, standing next to Sua.

"What?" The girl said under her breath. She could feel her face heat up as her eyes started tearing up. "What do you mean?"

Sua exhaled, putting her phone back in her hoodie pocket. "Someone sent the video out this morning. It's been spreading all over school. Everyone thinks you're a gold digger or some shit." She explained.

Nari couldn't help but let the tears run down her cheeks as she started feeling panicked. She looked around, seeing how some students had their eyes trained on her. "I'm not, please. I didn't mean for that to happen." She quietly said, facing Sua and Chenle again.

"Hey, it's fine. It's not your fault." Chenle tried to comfort the girl. He felt sympathetic towards the girl, placing a hand on her shoulder.

"I didn't know you like him." Minju said for the first time since Nari had arrived.

Nari frantically shook her head, denying the girl's statement. "I-I don't, I promise. It was seriously not supposed to happen. He was sad and he kissed me and-"

"He kissed you first?" Minju asked in disbelief. Her own heart breaking the more she heard. Chenle silently watched as he was the only one who knew about the girl's uncertain feelings towards the Chinese boy.

Before Nari could even answer, someone interrupted her. "Uhm, I'm sorry, but Nari, you need to come help." A younger girl said, pointing Nari in a direction. The latter gave the girl a confused look, making the student sigh and pull her with her.

The rest followed, until they stopped behind a crowd of students. There was a lot of yelling and screaming and Nari tried to push her way through to get a better look.

In the middle of the crowd, Donghyuck was standing over Renjun, who was laying on the floor. Nari gasped when her eyes landed on Renjun's bloody nose, immediately rushing to stop Donghyuck from throwing another punch. "Stop! Stop, oh my God. What are you doing?!" She exclaimed, holding Donghyuck's arm.

The boy looked up at the girl and for the first time since they met, Nari was genuinely afraid of the boy. His eyes were darker than usual and he looked scary as he glared at her. Her eyes teared up again as they continued to stare each other. "You don't tell me what to do." He spat out, yanking his arm out of her grip.

Nari took a step back, tears slowly falling from her eyes. "Hyuck..." She tried to speak, but the boy simply held his hand up stopping her from continuing.

"I don't care. Fuck you, Nari." He said, his voice laced with venom. "And fuck you too, Renjun. I expected better than for my own best friend to do that shit to me."

He faced away from them, lowly chuckling as he slowly turned back to them. "You know it's funny, though, because you were the one who warned me not to break her heart. Now look where we are. Guess you were the one I couldn't trust." With that he walked away, not even sparing any of them a glance.

Nari ran after the boy, despite being a crying mess. Jeno helped Renjun up, taking him to the informatory. Minju wanted to follow but Jaemin stopped her, "Just give him some space."

She nodded, understanding. Jaemin left too and soon the crowd dispersed as well. "I think I should go check on Nari." Sua said.

"I'll go with you." Jisung stated, taking her hand and walking in the same direction Nari ran into.

Chenle took a step towards Minju, engulfing the girl into a hug. "I'm sorry, babe." He breathed out, resting his chin on top of her head.

Minju shook her head, "This is such a mess."
