"I'm not going to beat around the bush or talk in circles. My profile is the one that matched with Ethan's. My profile is built into the system. I was the first person to go through every compatibility and personality test so that my profile can be used as a template for all my matchmakers to reference when explaining the process to our clients. Somehow, one of my employees unlocked my profile taking it out of its inactive status. The system doing it's job, matched my candidate profile with Ethan's and automatically sent out the match notifications. My employee came forward and let me know exactly what happened, and I decided to come directly to you to discuss this."
Arya had been practicing her words her entire way to James' office. She knew she had to sound confident in her words regardless of how nervous she was. Turning her attention to James, she watched as he bit into his sandwich and began chewing. She didn't bother saying anything else since she knew this was his way of processing the information, and he would say something once he's ready.
"Have you reprimanded the employee?"
"Not yet. I'm still trying to process the information myself. I do plan on initiating a full investigation into the matter. My profile should never be able to be unlocked that easily. I know that Ethan's excited about the match and I don't want to cheat the process by letting him know it's me he's marrying. I've spoken to you frequently about my timeline and there's still a revenue goal that I'm trying to hit before going into marriage. My main thing is that I don't want you or Ethan to feel like you aren't getting your money's worth from my service." The last thing Arya wanted to do was reprimand her sister, but she couldn't treat her any differently than any of her other employees.
Had it been any other high profile client profile that Amira removed from inactive status the company would've been fined for breach of privacy and security. It's notated in the NDA as an offense that isn't tolerated for any reason. The fact that it's her own sister makes the situation look even worse on her behalf.
"You know I look at you as a granddaughter. I honestly believe that you would never do anything like this purposely, but this does reflect negatively on your company. My question to you is, are you ready to open yourself to marriage? Do not marry my grandson out of obligation."
"I've thought over that as well. I believe that I'm more ready for marriage now then I've ever been. I am extremely nervous about it. Love is a beautifully scary thing, but I'm excited for the journey." James studied Arya for a few moments before a smile appeared on his face.
"Although I like the mystery of not seeing who the match is until the wedding day, I do appreciate the fact that it's you. You have a good head on your shoulders and I know that my grandson having you as a wife will push him to take more leadership opportunities in the company. I do want to-" James' sentence was cut short by his office door swinging open and Ethan walking in. Arya couldn't help but to access him from a different angle, trying to gauge what type of husband he would be.
