Avengers My Angel

Ch. 5 "Caught"

                                                   Bucky POV

I knew she was here, I thought as I looked around our old home, not just the gut feeling but the small shoe prints in the dust on the floor boards,

I followed them to what used to be her bedroom, and suddenly they disappeared,

Where the hell did she go? I thought,

"Bucky?" Steve's voice called from downstairs

"Just stay down there Steve give me a minute," I said

                                          Jamie POV

Great not only is James here Steve is as well,

Well I hate to rain on their parade, but I have no intentions on getting caught... at least not yet,

I still have many unanswered questions that need to be filled in, and I'm not about to stop,

I had my kees on the beam I pressed my hand for balance and it made a creaking noise,

And James looked up,

Before he could see me I jumped landing on top of him making us both fall with a loud thud,

James groaned from the impact,

I still had my baseball cap on,

James's eyes met mine, his eyes widen,

I put my pointer finger to my lips, telling him not to make a sound,

As he was in such shock from seeing me, I used that to my advantage, and I jumped out of a two story window,

I tucked and rolled on the ground, then climbed the fence, I ran down the street as I was running a car flew by causing my hat to fall from my head,

I went to get it only to see Steve and Bucky fresh on my tail so I decided to leave it and run, run like never before,

"Jamie!" James yelled

I crossed the highway

I slid across the hood of a car, as the car laid on the horn,

I ran down an alley where an old beat up car was blocking the exit so I slid underneath the car,

I looked back to see James and Steve jump over it,

I keep forgetting who I'm dealing with,

I come to another alley and see a chain link fence with a hole in the bottom and crawl through, and keep going,

I look back to see them both climb the fence with ease,

I see a fire escape and climb it,

Okay yeah not the smartest but I'm trying to shake my brother and his bestie,

I get to the roof and start jumping roof to roof,

"Jamie! Stop your going to get hurt!" I heard Steve,

Don't respond to the name, I thought

I just kept jumping until I ran into a slight problem, I ran out of roof, I looked down sure it was a drop but there was a dumpster full of garbage at the bottom,

I jumped only to be caught by the back of my shirt,

I swung my arms, as I had my hands balled up into fists,

"Let go!" I said swinging,

Suddenly I'm set on the ground and gripped by both of my biceps, not hard, he was on his knees in front of me,

"Why did you run! why did you run from me?" He said looking at me worried

"You wouldn't understand," I said as tears welled up in my eyes,

"I need to remember," I said

"Remember what?" Steve said

Tears fell down my cheeks,

"I need to know what happened, I need to remember," I said

My fists hit James in the lower chest,

"You ruined everything, I was so close," I said as I hit his chest,

He brought me into his lower chest, his hand pressed to the back of my head,

"Shh, Angel face," James said

"I need to know..." I said through sobs,

"Shh, it's alright we'll figure it out," He whispered

I gripped his shirt,

I gasped for air as I cried,

"I promise," James said
