Crazy for my best friend's dad

Chapter 3:

Jer was already there, I took the seat beside him.
"What's wrong?" Jer immediately asked me
I looked sadly at him "She is dating White's older son"
"What? Are you kidding?"
I shook my head "When I came home, Mel told me" I said "This hurts Jer, seeing the girl you love with someone else" I know I'm sounding dramatic but I can't help it.
"What do you guys want?" The bartender asked us
"Four Tequila shots" Jer said
He nodded and gave us our shots.
I drank it and felt it burning in my throat.
"Calm it down friend" Jer said
I looked at him. I love Ness so much and she's with the White kid.
Now I'm glad I'll go to France tomorrow, I hope to meet someone over there so I can finally move on from her.

Few hours later, I went back home. Mel was already sleeping and Ness probably went home.
I changed into my sleeping clothes and plopped onto my bed.
I turned around and fell asleep.

Next day I woke up, grabbed my suitcase and started packing.
Today I'm leaving to France with my daughter. I seriously wanted to leave after yesterday.
I won't be able to bare it, seeing her with him, kiss him or talk to Mel about him in front of me.
When I was done packing, I walked downstairs to get some breakfast.
I sat on the island eating my breakfast when Mel walked downstairs.
She grabbed an apple and sat in front of me looking at me.
"Morning dad" She said
"Morning Mel" I replied
"What was the matter yesterday?" She asked
I looked up at her "Huh? Why?"
"You just left to hang out with Jer"
"Nothing, just some guys time" I said

She nodded "Hm.. Okay"
"Are you done packing?" I asked
"Yeah, Ness helped me yesterday"
Hearing her name, tensed me up.
I nodded "Alright, we will leave in 1 hour so go get ready"
"Okay, who is going to pick us up?" She asked
"Jer" I said
"Can I go say goodbye to Ness first?"
No!. But agreed anyways.
"Fine"
"Thank you daddy" She said kissing my cheek "You're the best"
She ran upstairs to her room.
I looked down into my tea and sighed.

We were now at Ness' house for Mel to say goodbye. She got out of the car and walked to the front door and pressed the bell.
Jer looked at me "Are you alright bud?"
I nodded "As good as I can be in this situation"
"Alright"
I looked outside and saw Ness hugging Mel.. They pulled away and Ness looked at me with sad eyes. Is it for me or for Mel? Probably for Mel, why would it be for me when she's dating White?
I just stared back at her, she faked a smile and waved. I did the same.
Mel got in the car and we headed to the airport.
France, here we come.

~Renesmee's POV~

It's been two weeks that Max and Mel went to France.
I talked to Mel everyday but I miss her and Max.
They are coming back today and I'll be picking them up.
Tomorrow it's Mel's 17th birthday.
My phone rang. I picked it up.
"Hello?"
"Ness, it's me Mel.. We just arrived, we are picking up our suitcases" She said
"Alright, I'm on my way" I said and hung up.
I grabbed my car keys and was about to leave when I heard Vince.
Shit! I forgot we were alone at home.
"Ness, where you going?" He asked
"I need to go pick up Mel and her dad" I said, putting my coat on. "Go get your jacket so we can leave" I told him
He ran to his room and grabbed his grey jacket.
I picked him up and put him in the car and put on my sunglasses. Then we headed to the airport.
When we arrived, I parked my car, got out and picked Vince up.
We walked to the departure area and waited for Mel and Max.
5minutes later, Mel got out.
"NESS!!" Mel yelled running towards me and hugged me tightly.
"Hey girl! How was France?"
"Amazing!" She said "Hey cutie" She greeted Vince
Vince smiled widely at her. Mel grabbed Vince from me and hugged him.
"Where's your dad?" I asked her
"He is coming with uncle Matt"
"Your uncle came too?"
She nodded "Yeah"
Few minutes later Max and Matt came and they were talking to each other. To be honest, I didn't knew who was who immediately, until they turned and looked at me.
"Hey Ness" Max greeted me, smiling
"Hey Max" I replied with a smile
"This is my brother Matt" He said
I shook Matt's hand "Nice to meet you Mr. Callaghan" I said
He laughed "My dad is Mr. Callaghan, I'm Matt" He said laughing "But nice to meet you too Ness"
I laughed.
"Hey Vince" Max greeted Vincent.
"Hi sir" He said shyly, hiding this face in Mel's neck
"Is that your son Ness?" Matt asked
I nearly choked on my own saliva "What?! No" I said laughing "My little brother"
Matt laughed "My bad"
We walked to my car. I brought my White Audi Q7. I also have a Black Toyota 2014 4Runner, Limited Edition.
"Nice car" Matt said
"Thanks" I replied, I opened the trunk for them.
When they put everything in, they got in.
Mel told Max to sit in the passenger seat, next to me.
Matt and Mel sat in the back with Vince on her lap.
We headed to the Callaghan house.

Next Day..
I woke up and immediately grabbed my phone to call Mel and wish her happy birthday!
"Hello" She answered
"HAPPYYY BIRTHDAYYY MELSS!! YOU'RE FINALLY 17... WE WILL PARTY TILL WE DROP TONIGHT! I FREAKING LOVE YOU!" I yelled
She laughed "Thanks babess!! Love you too.. Come over?"
"Sure, be there in 10" I said hanging up.
I walked to the shower, took a quick shower and put on some clothes.
I headed to Mel's. I had a key to her house, like she had one to mines.
I opened the door and went in.
Matt was walking down the stairs. "Hey Ness" He greeted me with a smile
"Hey Matt" I replied smiling back
"Mel is in her room"
"Thanks" I said, I walked to Mel's room.
"Heyy girlieee" I said happily
"Heyyy babe" She replied. I hugged her tightly
"Happy Birthday again" I said smiling
"Thank you"
"What are you gonna do for your birthday today?"
"I didn't tell you but, before we left to France, I reserved a place" She said
"Awesomee!!" I yelled excited
She smiled "Yeah, I know right.. All thanks to my dad"
I smiled.. Max..

That night, I was at Mel's to prepare for her birthday party.
Max arranged a limo for us.
Mel said she invited some people from school.
I just finished putting on my blue long strapless dress. I put my hair into a high neat bun.
Mel had a peach/pink long strapless dress. Her hair was curly and open.
We were done. We heard the limo outside, I grabbed my purse and we walked to the limo.
The driver opened the door for us and greeted us.
"Goodnight Robert" Mel greeted
"Night sir" I said
"Oh call me Rob" He said,  smiling
I smiled "Alright Rob"
We headed to the place. When we arrived Robert opened the door for us and we got out.
Max and Matt were standing outside at the entrance.
They smiled at us.
"Hey girls" They both said
"Hey Max and Matt" I said
"Hey daddy and uncle" Mel said
"Let's go inside" Matt said.. Matt grabbed Mel's hand and they walked inside.
Max looked at me and smiled "You look absolutely gorgeous" He said.
I blushed "Thank you, you look handsome" I replied
"Thanks" He said "Let's go"
He grabbed my hand and we walked in. The place was pretty full.
Everyone came and told Mel happy birthday.
"Hey beautiful" I heard behind me.
I turned around and saw Chris.
"Chris!!!" I yelled hugging him "What are you doing here?" I asked when we pulled away.
"I have to be here for one of my bestfriends birthday right?"
I laughed "I missed you so much"
"I missed you too Nessie" He said hugging me again
"You'll leave back after the party right?"
"Yeah" He said
I nodded "Alright"

After a few minutes talking to Chris, he went to dance with a girl and I went to grab a drink and stand by a table. Mel was busy with her people.
I saw her walk to where the DJ was and got on the stage.
"Goodnight everyone, I'm glad you guys came to celebrate my 17th birthday with me" She said smiling and looking around "A special thanks to my dad for making all this possible, my uncle Matt for being here, my bestfriend Chris who came all the way from his vacation in Hawaii to be here with me and of course, my other bestfriend Ness. Thank you for always be there for me, guys!" She said and I smiled, blowing a kiss at her.
"I love you guys so much" Mel said "Okay, let's get into the business, I've got a game for you guys to play tonight"
Everybody got interested. What game?, I thought..
She didn't tell me about this.
"Well, I have two bowls here with the names of everyone here. This one with the girls and this one with the boys" She said "I'll pick one girl and one guy and you guys will be partners for the rest of the night to dance the songs"
Everybody clapped "Ready?" Mel asked excited. "By the way, my dad and uncle are playing too"
What? Max?! I hope to get Max.
She started to pick out the names.
"Ness and..." I heard, she picked one of the boy's names "Max!"
