Nick's POV

September

"You better not be peaking!" Carolina says into my ear

She had her hands over my eyes and tried to keep me walking without running into anything but it was clearly a fail.

"Babe I'm not" I laugh

"Ok you can look now"

Her hands move away and then in front of me there's a pumpkin pie with "21" candles on top.

"Since you loved it so much last year" My mom says coming over to hug and kiss me

"Thanks mom" I tell her

It was nice to be back in Westlake for my birthday with my friends and future family. Today was also Chris, Carolina's older brother's birthday and a lot of her family came up here to celebrate our birthdays together.

People start to sing 'Happy Birthday' and I look for my wife to be who was now across the table where the now two cakes were placed. I look at only her as everyone sings and couldn't believe I was already 21, getting ready to marry my best friend in the next couple months. I didn't know what to wish for since I had everything I wanted, so I just blew the candle and moved as fast as I could away from the pie.

"Oh you're no fun" Genesis says trying to push her brother's face into the cake.

I wasn't the only one who didn't like that.

The night went on with everyone going outside and I remained by Carolina's side the whole time. I only had another month with her until I went on tour to support the new album.

"Here" she says handing me a gift bag

I smile at her and open the bag to find a frame; it was the first picture we ever took together. "This is amazing" I tell her

"It's nothing"

"No really, this will look so nice in our future home" I lean in and give her a smooth kiss. "I love you"

"Good cuz I love you too" she laughs

Carolina's POV

The party ended earlier than I thought it would last night and I was happy because Genesis, Joe, Nick, and I all had to fly back to Los Angeles the next morning to see about some contracts that the guys needed to sign. Kevin and Danielle would join us later but we had set to meet up with our friends as well for lunch and as our flight landed around noon I couldn't be more relieved that we actually made it.

'Where did everyone want to meet?" Joe asked as we headed to his place

"I think Olive Garden if you don't mind pop star" I teased

"Eww" Joe laughs "just kidding, you know I'm fine with that"

Genesis made phone calls to everyone and I even got to talk to Taylor who was also just getting here to surprise Estefania.

"Shall we go? Nick asks I look at the clock and see that it was already 2 "shoot we're late!"

All of us pack into Joe's RR and head down to meet everyone. Taylor told me he'd be in the parking lot so I told Joe to park next to him when we got there.

Right away I saw all of my friends in front of the restaurant. I feel like it's been forever since I've seen everyone together. Zach, Cameron, Laura, Estefania, and Valerie didn't even notice us pass by until we parked and got out of the car. I waved at them and taped Taylor's car door.

"HEY" I yelled running over to everyone

They all smiled and hugged me

"Thank you for the beautiful gesture" Val says

"Yes I didn't think you even needed to ask us but thanks for the invitation to be your bridesmaids" Laura said

"Oh I'm glad y'all loved the gift" I smiled "a bit much but Nick suggested it"

"What was it again?" Cameron asked

"She sent us each different orchid plants"

"The one in your room, right!" Zach says

"So slow sometimes" Val shakes her head

I laugh but then hear Nani say "oh my god" and turn to see Taylor coming over with some roses

They share a cute embrace and all of us just stare at them.

"Let's go inside." Joe then says "I'm hungry"

Oh Joe. So all of us step inside the busy restaurant; all eyes on us. I don't know how but we manage to get the table that seats 10 to be ready for us in like five minute, oh wait the perks of being a celebrity.

Once we were all seated and they took our drink orders, I look around at all my friends who exchanged looks and I knew we were all sharing the same thought. Once upon a time we all came to Olive Garden and they sat us at a big table and said "one day we'll fill up this table" and here we were doing just that.

I feel Nick hold my hand and play with my engagement ring. A year ago today I would have never imagined myself here, looking at the guy I love and thinking of our future together. Right now my priority was planning our wedding with the help of all the people at this table.

i'll post the sequel to this story sometime in january, going to work on some other things but for now just know the name of the story will be "Stronger"
