"Bakit kasi ngayon mo lang sinabi na ngayon na 'yung event mo? Sana nakapaghanda man lang ako ng mga suit na susuotin mo," Miracle said while packing her husband's clothes.
"My secretary just told me about that fucking event a while ago. You can't blame me. Mag-ayos ka na nga lang diyan," sabat naman ng asawa sa kaniya.
Huminga nang malalim ang babae bago lingunin ang asawa. "Ikaw ang pumili ng mga suit mo, hindi ko naman alam 'yung mga type mong gamitin."
Trigger immediately stood beside her. Lumingon ito sa mga tuxedo na nasa harapan.
"Ano bang bagay sa akin?" malamig nitong tanong.
Kumunot ang noo ni Miracle. "You're handsome, any clothes suit you."
Trigger smirked with her answer. "You find me handsome?"
"Oo naman. Hindi mo ba alam 'yon sa sarili mo?"
"Of course I am fucking aware. It just sounds good hearing that from you." Nilagpasan siya nito habang nakangisi pa rin.
Miracle stared at her husband unbelievably. Hindi niya alam kung anong hangin ang umihip dito at bigla itong naging mabait sa kaniya. Nauntog ba ito kung saan?
"I'll be back, just have to answer this call from that stupid manager," Trigger said coldly.
Naglakad ang lalaki papalapit sa pintuan ng kwarto nila para buksan, pero agad na nangunot ang noo nilang dalawa nang pumalpak ang lalaki sa pagbukas no'n.
"Bakit?" mahinhing tanong ni Miracle bago humakbang papalapit sa asawa.
Trigger tried opening the door again but it's locked.
"Fuck. What the hell is happening," he groaned heavily.
"Teka nga, bakit ba kasi napaka-aggressive mong magbukas. Tabi nga diyan," mahinahong singit ni Miracle at bahagya pang tumabi sa lalaki.
Trigger gave way to her. "Tsk, let's see if you can open it by yourself."
Hindi na lang niya pinansin ang lalaki sa likuran. Sinubukan ding pihitin ni Miracle ang pintuan pero pumalpak siya.
Marahan siyang tinabig ni Trigger. "Teka nga, bakit ba kasi ang hinhin mong magbukas. Tabi nga diyan," he mocked her.
Miracle just pouted her lips before taking a step back. Hinayaan na lang niya ang asawa na ayusin ang pintuan na 'yon.
"Fuck. Makisama ka naman, tangina ka," malutong na mura ng lalaki habang galit na galit pang pinagsisipa ang pintuan.
"You can't open that door by kicking it. It's a digital door, nabubuksan 'yan sa labas kapag in-input mo 'yung code," Miracle said.
"Alam ko."
Trigger rolled his eyes on her in a manly way.
Walang imik na umupo na lang si Miracle sa kama at pinanood ang asawa sa harap.
"Give me my phone, I'll call my secretary."
She immediately grabbed his phone on the side table as she hand it to him.
Walang tingin tingin na nagtipa si Trigger sa cellphone bago pa sumagot ang tinatawagan.
"Hey. Yeah, it's me. Come here to my house, my wife and I were locked inside our room and we can't open this fucking door. Yeah."
Lumapit agad ang babae sa lalaki nang ibaba nito ang tawag. "You called for help?"
He nodded his head. "We can only open this door if someone opens it from the outside."
Trigger sat on the floor and lean on the door behind him. Tiningala niya ang babae na nakatayo lang sa harapan niya.
"What are you doing there? Sit beside me. Mangangalay ka diyan, tanga," malamig na sabi nito.
Miracle pointed out the bed. "We can sit there."
Trigger pointed the space beside him. "Sit here," matigas nitong sabi.
Wala nang ibang nagawa si Miracle kung hindi ang umupo sa tabi ng lalaki. She sat quietly while waiting for her husband to say something.
"How's your childhood days, Miracle?" Trigger asked out of no where.
Nilingon naman agad ito ng babae. "Ikaw ba?"
Yumuko si Trigger bago ngumiti ng tipid sa kawalan. "It's enjoying. Especially that I have my brothers by my side back then. It's really a good experience."
"Do you miss them?"
"Kind of. I never had a chance to talk to them again."
"I'm pretty sure they're amazing like you," Miracle said with a smile on her face.
Nilingon siya ng asawa. "I am not like them. They're almost perfect."
"You are, amazing, for me. I'm sure everyone admires you for being the CEO of a big empire at your young age. Matalino ka, Trigger, hindi ka nasisindak sa kahit na sino kaya paniguradong maraming humahanga sa 'yo. I am one of them," she answered.
Trigger gazed at her. "How about you?"
"What?"
"Your childhood. How about you?"
Miracle awkwardly point herself. "Me? Wala naman akong ikukwento sa 'yo. My childhood days are not that happy and enjoying, it's not something that I can be proud of."
"Why?
She smiled bitterly while remembering those days. Simula bata pa lang siya ay binubugbog at pinagsasalitaan na siya ng kung anu-ano ng mga magulang niya.
"It's a nightmare," she whispered softly.
Halata ang pagtataka sa mukha ng asawa niya nang lingunin niya ito. "Nightmare? Why? Did your parents hit you?"
She shook her head, trying to cover up her parents' mistakes. "They never did. Marami lang nangyari sa akin noon, ayoko nang ikwento, pero hindi talaga maganda ang pagkabata ko. Kaya masaya ako na masaya ka noong bata ka. Atleast I can breathe properly that you had an amazing childhood."
He chuckled. "It's not that amazing. Our parents trained us hard. We suffered also from those sleepless nights. But I enjoyed it."
"Your parents are amazing, Trigger. I really like them."
"Don't you like your own parents?"
Miracle shook her head. "I love them. I'm just amazed by how your parents treat other people. They treat me like I'm their daughter. My own parents couldn't even trust me, it's a relief that tita Yians and tito Cronus trust me. I envy you for having them." She smiled bitterly.
"If I would be a mother soon, I'll take care of my children the way how I want to be treated. Every children deserves that," she added.
Trigger faked a cough. "You want to have a child soon?"
Miracle gulped. She wanted to tell Trigger about their baby. Pero nagdadalawang isip siyang aminin 'to.
She was about to open her mouth to tell Trigger about her pregnancy when the door suddenly opened. Agad silang napalayo mula roon.
"Boss, natagalan ba ako?" Trigger's secretary is already here.
Nilingon muna ng lalaki ang asawa bago umiling. "No."
Trigger grabbed his luggage on the bed before giving it to his secretary. Nilingon niya si Miracle.
"I'll be back tomorrow. Cook a dinner for me."
She smiled sweetly before nodding her head.
